Last month I purchased a vision spinner combo. I absolutely love the battery, and the variable voltage, but unfortunately both of the batteries I purchased developed the stuck button problem that people are talking about. I dropped the battery out of my lap onto a carpet, and the button won't work anymore.

I am frustrated. I started vaping with v2 cigs, but those batteries are terrible, and often have problems right out of the box. I thought I had found the solution when I purchased my vision spinners, but the buttons are WAY too fragile.

Are there any good alternatives to the vision spinner? Something with a button that won't mess up, preferably variable voltage, and not too expensive?

Fortunately my neighbor loaned me his passthrough, so I don't have to go back to analogs, but I just want to bang my head onto my desk.

Thanks.

IF size is of no issue to you think about getting or making a box mod. You have to remember ecigs are electronic pieces of equipment and by nature fragil to dropping. ANY of them. You might also get a battery that has a big button, that might help. I am plaining on making a PVC mod using three rechargeable AA batteries with a good sized switch.

Thanks Thrasher, and Kanj. I'm looking at the VAMO right now.

Dave: can you point me to a website, or instructions about your box mod suggestion?

I'm a noob so it all looks complicated to me. Guess I have to do some homework lol

Yes, I'm willing to spend a little extra if it means the equipment won't need replacing once per month, and size shouldn't be a problem.

A friend of mine loves the Bolt. Inexpensive and comes in a ton of colors. It is not variable voltage though.

I am going with the Provari. After spending LOTS of money on eGo batteries that eventually wear out and have to be thrown away, I am upgrading to a device that will last many years and has the variable voltage. It is pricey for sure but I could have bought 2 or 3 provaris for the money I have spent on ego batteries over the last three years.

The Provari is legendary to be able to survive two story falls onto concrete, dunks into a swimming pool, going through a complete wash cycle in a washing machine, being run over by a dump truck, etc.

I'd recommend getting a Big Daddy Vapor cartotank. Made of heavily constructed anodized aluminum with an all-juice-safe polypropylene window. Two sizes to choose from, the Lil' Moma and Who's Your Daddy.

Big Daddy 5ml Tanks & Tubes : Big Daddy Vapor

This setup in the pics will set you back about $50 for the tank and $180 for the Provari in a colored finish. That's not counting removeable, rechargeable batteries and a charger. You can find cheaper, brand new but mildly blemished, Provari's for around $150 in their clearance section sometimes.

And IF the Provari should break, Provape will repair it even after warranty. Most of the cheaper variable voltage mods are manufactured in China, and once their warranty has expired, there will be no way to get those devices repaired as China doesn't do repair services. Just some food for thought.

I can't think of a tougher LONG TERM setup that offers variable voltage than this, though. Should last you 2-3 years minimum. How many eGo's will you go thru in that amount of time, price comparison wise?

Hey I've been using the Ego-C for about a month and a half now. I haven't had any problems with it, but keep in mind that you need to keep it clean. Make sure you have a big bottle of isoprop alcohol around, and some q-tips. You're gonna want to swab out any surfaces that come in contact with the juice, or any of the juice residue. Make sure to keep the contact surface of the batteries really clean. For the portions of the vaporizers or that hold the juice - any carts or clearomizers you use, make sure that you soak them in alcohol periodically. Typically when I'm changing juices I leave my clearomizer in a shot glass full of isoprop over night. Keeping your vaporizers as clean as possible helps in making sure that they don't break over time.

Check out Madvapes for DIY kits. Look at Youtube for all kinds of stuff, in fact look up a woman who calls herself "Steeljan" on Youtube, she shows you all about them, Bunches and bunches of videos on making them. Just a start. She even has one she made with 3 regular rechargeable AA batteries. I am in LOVE with her.
