ok it's that time again that I'm going to have to be buying some new batteries soon
so I need some help from the experts...
batteries are one thing that I do not trust myself and lack of knowledge on
I can't complain my batteries have all lasted a really rather long time (some i've had for 5 years) but they are starting to not seem to last as long per charge
the 2 I've been using for the past 1 - 2 years that I love are the Samsung 25r's and the LG HD4's
they were far better than my samsung 26f's and efests :pervy:

but my vaping needs have progressed since then....I'm now mostly using dual battery mods between 25 - 30w with anywhere from a .5 - 1.5 ohm coil

so what would be a good battery for my needs, and mostly I use regulated mods but I do have 2 mechs that I use on occasion (those are single battery)

thanks for the help

Battery Mooch just updated his recommended battery chart for both mech and regulated mods.

Concerning regulated mods, you don't necessarily need to get a 25 or 30 amp battery for a 100 - 200 watt mod. If you vape under 45 - 60 watts for a single battery mod or under 90 - 120 watts with a dual battery mod, a 15A or 20A battery might suit your needs safely; with more mAh you'll get longer use per charge. With regulated mods, coil resistance is irrelevant.

Choose the battery for your regulated mod based on the wattage setting that you use.

WATTAGE PER SINGLE BATTERY on REGULATED MOD:
(Total wattage doubles using 2 batteries; Triples using 3 batteries.)

after watching mooch's video, I'm leaning towards the samsung 30Q's
the sony vtc6 sounds good but as he mentioned that over time they lose their charge (battery life) faster than the samsung 30q's
hm...i seem to recall being told to stay above 20a though....that might be why i didn't get the 30q's last time

The LG HG2 perform better in my single batt therion BF at around 30W-35W than my 30Q.
The Samsung 30Q perform better in my single battery JAC Vapour DNA75W at around 30 watts than my LG HG2.

The Samsung 30Q and SonyVTC6 are good up to 45 watts per battery, the LG HG2 are good up to 60 watts per battery.

 funny how that works....
now i'm stuck....
samsung 30q
sony vtc6
lh hg2

all 3 sound good....going to be getting 2 different kinds (well 2 of 2 different kinds) to keep in rotation
pricewise probably go with the samsung and lg as I can find them for around $5/each though so far i've found the sony's for $7.40/each still price checking

so unless someone has a better suggestion, which 2 of the 3 do you think would be better all around and especially for battery life/recharge cycle

Interesting. I only use my 30Q’s in a LV Triade (3 cell) – If there is a difference between them and the HG2 which is my swap out cells, I can not tell. Will say the Samsung’s are slightly thicker and given the extremely tight tolerances of the Triade battery door, the door does not close completely and the bright pink does peek through. Think some of the reviewers had this problem with Sony cells when reviewing the Triade.

To me it's probably 30 min of vaping time, not much but noticeable. Honestly I'm more often closer to 35W than to 30W so maybe this is exactly where one cell starts to fall off compared to the other depending on if you're going slightly up or slightly down.

I use a 3 cell device at 50 to 60 watts – it lasts for days. I’ve intended to measure battery life between the two but 0 f**ks usually kicks in after day 1 and I lose interest.

From Mooch's test chart the Samsung 30Q should have a better performance than the HG2 even at 35W so maybe I need to activate a puff counter or something and check again. Maybe my German genes just like the brown color better
Kappa.png

It’s a DNA250C – puff counter is always on….it’s the user that is the problem. I swapped cells on Sunday afternoon – 5 days later and only at 70%. Guarantee by the time this reaches it’s cut-off, many cocktails would have been consumed and I’ll forget all about it.

My other 18650 mods only use HG2's
