ok, so i started vaping on 2-20 and on 3-01 i was completely smokefree. all went really well, found pif and started to participate. then, 2 weeks ago, i was rubbing my eyes and felt something burn. i thought to myself that maybe i had some juice on my finger from dripping and went to rinse off whatever it was.
well, since that day i've been looking like a raccoon, except my eyerings are red. i was not able to clear it up at all and switched to the only vg flavor i had about 3 days ago. no luck so off to the doctor i went today. he really has no idea what caused it, could be pg, vapor drifting up to my eyes, flavors in the juice, who knows. he prescribed some cream which is helping to soothe the skin. btw no problem with my eyes, it's just the skin around but, lol, the pulling, itching, unbeliebable.
so, has anybody suffered the same way? my doctor wants me to look for juice with organic materials and it probably should be vg, since pg allergies happen quite often. does anybody have juice that falls into this category and could send me some small samples? i have some tobacco flavors, chocolate, butterscotch and watermelon i could send in return. i really need to get to the bottom of this since i do not want to go back to smoking, so any advice, thoughts, samples would be very much appreciated. thanks, guys

As a current eye problem sufferer I would recommend going to an eye specialist as it might have nothing to do with e-liquid. I found that vg dries me out and gives me headaches. Crashtestjeep told me of a remedy her family uses for eyes. Here is what she wrote:
I know a trick that may help ya
heat some water up, almost boiling, then drop in a tea bag and let it turn the water brown..
then take the tea bag and wait til its just warm (not scalding lol) and place on eye for 15 minutes.
after your eye should feel ALOT better....

I sure hope this helps.

I just hope it clears up. Good luck! High levels of PG dry my eyes out- and I once had a little chili pepper on my finger from making lunch then put in a contact lens. I said curse words that haven't been invented and had to do a full eye flush. Never had problems with nic juice as I'm USUALLY pretty good about keeping the hands clean.

my eyes are fine, it is only the skin including eyelids that are affected. flaming red plus the skin is thight and pulling, also itchey. don't know why it should have happened after 2 months of vaping unless it was an ingredient and not the pg. btw i went to a dermatologist and to him it did look like an allergy.

I'm sorry to hear this, tiburonfirst! I'm one of the rare people that is allergic to too much VG. I had a similar problem around my mouth and since changing to a lower VG it's gone away. I can tell when juice has too much VG for me because my mouth will burn. So, don't think that it's only VG that cause allergic reactions.

I was reading over at MadVapes last night and he has a new line of liquid and some flavors are all natural. (Not sure that's the right link.)

thanks for the replies, i'll try and eliminate causes one by one. first i need this rash cleared up though, and the prescribed cream seems to helping.
i have an order on the way from madvapes and was told they usually include a sample of their juice. i'll probably call them and check on ingredients, since i could not find gooddog's referenced thread.

tiburonfirst, If gooddog is right about Mad Vape's liquid, and I think she is talking about the Top Vapor..I have several of their flavors and 3 empty 3ml bottles. If you want to try some, PM me and I will let you know the flavors I have and let you pick some to try.

thanks for the offer, pintail, i'll check with madvapes on ingredients and might take you up on your samples. will pm you if it's worth a try and offer some of my juice in return. thanks, again!
running around with red circles around my eyes sure is misery!

have you found a solution for this? maybe i should up my water intake first?

I did start drinking more fluids and they went away, but I don't know if that was why. I also have been getting dry mouth and sores on my tongue lately. I bought all the stuff for dry mouth, the mouth spray, toothpaste, & mouthwash! I don't know if it's the PG or VG, but I know they both can be drying. I always carry something to drink with me now. It really should be water, but most of the time it's Sobe Lifewater instead!

Drinking A LOT of water helped me and when I notice my skin starting to get dry I up my water intake and it goes away.

i wonder if dehydration could show up in the skin just around the eyes? strange that i seem to be the only one with that symptom if it is related to vaping
