Need help buying dad upgrade from regular ecig

Hi

I am trying to figure out what ecig will be best for my dad. He started smoking the vapor4life stealth battery with pre-filled cartos but I convinced him if he can find an ecig with a refillable tank/bottom feeder? (not something too big) it will end up saving him money. I think it will be too difficult for him to keep refilling the standard 808 cartos so I'm kind of stuck as to what I should suggest for him. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you looked at the Vmod? its a pretty simple, bottom feeder, single battery design

I know my Dad for over 2 years now has not to even try cartos. He uses atties and the tips with fiber in them and is totally happy with that setup. I have gotten him to upgrade to Ego passthroughs and an Altsmoke BB but that's about it. He actually IS saving money on vaping.

Me not so much saving but I am having fun and my health has improved.

You can always go to a normal carto tank on the 808 batteries. Get bare stainless steel cartos, and a nice tank (i'm a big fan of the notcigs m1a1 1" tank).
Carto punching for use in tanks can be pretty easy. Personally I really dislike saddle valves, so came up with an alternative that uses a $5 circular hub and 1/4-20 sheet metal screws. I posted a thread on it over in the pif area, includes the precise parts (both are things you just buy). A couple of people have tried it so far and seem to agree that it is simple and works well.

I have had great success getting older users on to Ego batts with the Ego Mega Dual Coil cartos... kind of the best of both worlds in my opinion. Passthrough batteries are available, car chargers etc so recharging is easy and most people can get half a day to a day out of a fill and they are cheap to replace, no atties required. You can get a full kit from Madvapes for under $50 and you are rocking... I still use that setup from time to time, when travelling as they look less suspicious than mods going through airports Hits well and is relatively low maintenance. I know it's not bottom feeding, but thought I'd suggest it.

I like the fact that you can use cartos on the Ego. I must have been looking at the wrong Ego on a website because I thought it only worked with atties. I was also thinking of suggesting the vmod 2.0 to him. He really likes my REO but refuses to spend that money because he worries he will become addicted to smoking 0mg of nicotine. Oh I love him haha.
He's a goofball. What do you think of the vmod 2.0?

As you are a feeder veteran you have probably worked out the technique more than I did I just found it to be very difficult to attain consistency. Hits were either too wet or too dry and there was just too much margin for error. The cartos are just so simple and the device isn't big and is easily pocketable.

Check out this kit at Madvapes, I know there are others out there, but this one is a great deal I think and I've bought 2 of these kits for others who were very pleased with them.

Great, thanks! I'll check it out! I watched a youtube video and did notice that the woman who was vaping the vmod had a gurgle sound to it when she took a vape. I'm glad you let me know!
