Hello everyone,

I have had 2 vapes so far, and unfortunately they didn't satisfy me.
The ones I've had are:
Justfog Q16
joyetech ego AIO

I'm looking for something more advanced, with changeable settings, a lot more smoke and more flavour.

I did go to a local store, and they recommended me the vaporesso Tarot baby 80W, now I would like to know some you would recommend I look for.

Thank you in advance :)

Innokin Kroma/Zenith starter kit. (mouth to lung setup)
Geekvape Aegis Mini/Cerberus starter kit. (direct to lung setup for more vapor/internal battery/waterproof and shockproof)
Geekvape Aegis Solo/Cerberus starter kit (removeable battery/waterproof & shockproof/will need to buy batteries and a charger, too)
The Vaporesso setup recommended by your vape shop would be good, but the shop's markup will be steep...look online for cheaper price.

Good Starter Setups for a Beginner Vaper

Personally I would go for an Innokin device. Build quality is typically decent, they're easy to use and the bundled tank is usually fine, plus Innokin are very safety conscious. Reasonably priced so won't break the bank. I actually had a Kroma-A and it was a solid device (gave it away to a friend) but mine came with the Axiom tank so I can't comment on the Zenith. The Aethlon chip used in the Kroma device was very reliable so would be an advantage if you ever want to try out temp control. Plus their tanks usually come with at least two coils. 2000mAh internal battery which lasts a while between charges, so no having to mess with external chargers.

Vaporesso is a company I have a mixed experience with. I had a Tarot 200W and it was appalling in temp mode but perhaps they've sorted that issue with the Baby Tarot. Their Switcher mod was a much better device and the included tank was great but that's getting into high powered dual 18650 set ups and not really what you're looking for at present.

Thank you for the replies.
I will be shopping online, but thank you for the advice Baditude.

I would like it to be DL, and a bigger setup is not a dealbreaker for me.

Also, as I have just been scouring the internet I have found a few that look interesting:
Smok Species 230W
Vaporesso armour pro
Joyetech cuboid

Another question,
Would a seperate box and tank be better, or should I get a starterkit?

Edit: MTL changed to DL, just a small typo, I should be getting a little more sleep

No SMOK. Terrible reputation for poor quality control and customer service is non-existant.

Starter kits are fine, although I usually prefer buying battery device and tank separately. Most mods and tanks can be removed because of a common 510 connection. Many "starter setups" will match a "lesser quality" tank with the battery device, but not so with Geekvape Aegis.

AIO (all in one) kits don't allow you to remove the tank from the battery device because they are permanently attached to the battery device, so not recommended. What if you don't like the tank? You wouldn't be able to exchange it with a different one. Also, most AIO setups don't have variable wattage, just a single, fixed wattage output. Variable wattage is very desirable so that you can adjust your vape "on the fly" (cooler or warmer, more or less vapor) or to the juice you are using.

Many DTL tanks can be adjusted, more or less, to be MTL. Just adjust the air intake to almost closed off, and exchange the wide bore drip tip for a more restrictive small bore drip tip.

Personally I prefer choosing the tank and device separately. I prefer external battery devices but have seen the aegis mini and drag mini get a lot of love here on the forums. For external battery a 21700 single battery device will give you up to 2-3 days vaping mtl. Have the armour pro and it's okay, in the backup box. I do love the Squid Detonator but it's more expensive. Have seen them as low as 65.00 here lately. Easter sales are around the corner so I'd hold off ordering anything for several days.

I won't be choosing a SMOK then, thank you for letting me know. I did make a typo in my reply, I meant to say DL, but I said MTL, sorry for the confusion.

The squid detonator is quite a bit more expensive here unfortunately, I have seen it for €99, which is a more than I would like to spend on a setup.

The Eleaf iStick pico S, Joyetech EVO primo SE, the Aegis mini kit, and the vaporesso tarot nano all are around my price range, and are available online, I haven't checked amazon yet, so that's something I might do as well.

No. For same reason as don't buy vape gear from E-Bay.

Might be more useful for us to assist you more if you put in your location into your avatar.
I updated my account. Thank you for the tip.
Netherlands. @Bart.K start another thread asking for good vape supply sites then sign up for the newsletter to get coupon codes and deal alerts.

I'm always interested in coupon codes and deals, thank you.
Where should I post my new thread asking for vape supply sites? I'm still quite new and I don't exactly know where to post it.

General vape discussion forum will get the best exposure.
