Sorry to say it but stainless steel vs aluminum really wont make a difference. These are tubes that hold batteries and electronics and dont receive any abuse. An ar15 receiver and mossberg shotgun receivers are made out of aluminum and work great. just sayin
You're new. One year from now after going through two cheap aluminum mods ruined from 3 foot accidental drops on concrete or tile, and you'll begin to realize not all mods are created equal. Experience is often the best teachers.

If you can get your hands on one of course. Tatroe Ring Provari this ring is great quality and less than half the price of the twins. You do need the provape extender cap if you want to rock the mini in 650.View attachment 219824

You can use two of those rings and the stock cap to run the mini in 18650 mode and not have to buy the Provape ext cap.

While Im new to vaping Im not new using a lot of stainless and quality aluminum in much more strenuous applications than holding a battery

You can also just purchase two Tatroe extension rings for 18650 mode, and not deal with Provape's more expensive extension cap. Above black Mini Provari shown with two Tatroe Provari Rings and the Provari Tatroe End Cap. The base is very pratical when using a top heavy juice attachment like the AGA-T2 RBA's, preventing easy tipping over and cracking a glass tank.

By far go with a Provari. Yeah, its pricey, but it's also well worth the extra dollars. I dont personally own one, but it is my next big purchase. A buddy of mine owns one though and has actually on multiple occasions, submerged his Provari by accident. He just pulls it out of the water and lets it dry, puts a new battery in just to be sure and goes straight back to vaping with it. Though, my personal favorite part about it is that it's American made.

I own both. And they're both great mods. Tesla has a much better menu system and easier to make adjustments on the fly. Also checking resistance is a lot easier. But since I got my provari I only really use my tesla when I'm building coils and want to check the ohms.

If you can front the extra cash now it's worth it. If that's too much then you won't be disappointed with the tesla. It is quite big though I will say that.

Hi been vaping with Hubby for four months. We went thru lots of egos, ego twists, and when we decided we were in it for the long haul we bought two provaris, best choice for us. We have great vape with great customer service if we ever need it. (we spent enough to get one and a half provaris on throw aways) :(

Just to give you some perspective (from my experience) I started out with an ego twist cause for some reason vv vw is the best.... still thinking that i wanted a device that used normal batteries and moved up to the VAMO. since then i have been more interested in Mech Mods and RBAs (which i don't suggest for beginners even though their is now a mini RBA for the EGO) The Vamo can be purchased for about $40 with a battery and charger easily. That is my Suggestion for a new vapers APV.

As far as the two devices you talked about personally i dont think i will ever buy a provari maybe a mini if i really wanted one but a vamo in 18350 configuration with a tank is what i use for a day at work I do bring an extra battery just in case though it normally stays in my car. Anyway both devices do the same thing the tesla has odd button placement and is Chinese (may not work forever may be doa anything) the provari is just more likely to be a better device but it costs more.

Anyway all batteries will preform pretty much the same you need to find out what kind of attomizer you want and then the good vaping starts.

Personally a cartomizer on an ego makes a good vape. I am getting off subject as you want to know what battery to buy IMO just buy what you can afford if you have a lot of disposable income go for whatever you want. IMO with all the juices to try and stuff like that new vapers can easily spend much more than they anticipated i tend to spend almost twice as much as i said i would every time i buy stuff.

Respectfully, I don't know how you can honestly say this unless you have never used a Provari.:2c:

I have a tesla and quite a few others.. and will be buying a Provari next..

The Tesla is my "in the garage" mod.. thing is brutal.. its been dropped so many times and keeps on working..

my hope is to replace my vamo (18350 mode) with a Provari mini for my office device. I love the vamo.. but i am sick messing with the center pin every few days.

above is the reason i bought the tesla.. i love the floating center pin.. for me though the mod is just too big to lug around.

I agree I keep mine at home because of its bulk and I was worried if I dropped I continuously dropped it that it wouldn't last as long or be as durable as the Provari. Plus the warranties on the two are different.

After hearing about you having dropped your tesla numerous times though, I feel at this point it might be time to let the Tesla breath alittle brisk autumn air and see the sun for once. :)
