Looking to build my fist mod and settled on a schematic but would like to customize it with a 3 or 5mm led that will light up when time to recharge the batteries, Or better yet a dual color led that turns green when you fire and red when time to change the batteries. Would the meter I posted below work

I guess I can't post links so in Ebay copy and paste "Two Wire 0.28inch LCD Mini Digital DC Voltmeter Gauge Voltage Detector hv2n" This is the one I'm looking at, Thanks for the help but when it comes to designing this kind of circuitry I'm smart enough to be dangerous to myself. Thanks!

Disregard the schematic and only pay attention to the one in color, I cant seem to delete it.

THe concensus is that a FIRE led is useless and a waste; some recent designs - and I mean on ECF and ... - certainly have an LED for reversed batteries. I don't know that anyone has bothered with an led for "low battery" - in my case, the firing just stops and it is time to swap cells.

I'm slowly learning and spent part of the day on YouTube learning a bit about resistors and capacitors and for the unit to stop firing when the voltage drops I would need a zener.

Dig the avatar as I was a FireFly fan.
