Need help finding the best 18500 batteries

I like small form factor mods. I know this means I need to change batts more often, and I'm okay with that. That being the case I want to get ones with the best life and highest amp rating. I'm not trying to cloud chase, I just want the suckers to last at least half the work day. I currently have ONE eFest 18490 that doesn't work in my Cartel mod, so I need some 18500's to get me through the day. What should I get?

The only 18500 battery on Baditudes list is this one:
1. purple Efest 18500 1000mAh 15A

AW makes an 18490 (button top). It's on Bad's list as well. You'll have to check the length.
1. AW IMR 18490 1100mah 16.5A

Thanks for responding. I have a red EFest 18490 that works in my other mod, but does not work with the Cartel. I believe it is 18500 only, so I'll look for the purple EFest.

The blue Tensai 18500s are great. Supposedly 22 amp cdr and they test really well.

18490 and 18500 are the same thing. AW uses the designation 18490 for their IMR and 18500 for their ICR (since the IMR is just slightly shorter in length), but everybody else just uses 18500.

The AW and Efest seem to be the best options in the 18500 size (the Tensai mentioned above might be good as well, I just have no experience with it, myself)

Interesting. I can't get the eFest 14950 to connect in the 18500 barrel from my newest mod. I was hoping the purple eFest 18500 might be different since a lot of other mod descriptions I've read sees to make a clear distinction between the two, including the ones for the one I have. Am I missing or misreading something? Maybe they were lathed with a button top in mind? * confused *

I'm not overly familiar with the Cartel mod. Perhaps if you find a discussion related to it you might be able to get some input from other users?

IDK about the whole 490 vs 500 thing but I have some 18500 Efest purple 15 amp batteries and they (as a pair) last throughout the day. I pop 1 in the morning and swap prior to leaving work. Then charge when going to bed and repeat.
