I think you are confusing variable volts, variable wattage settings with RMS and AVG settings. It can be set in AVG or RMS for both wattage(w) and voltage(v).

If you set it to N02, you are in RMS, be it VV or VW.

To get it from VV to VW, push either the plus or minus button, then hold both plus and minus at the same time until it re-sets to VW and adjust your wattage as needed.

No confusion here. When it is in RMS you should be able to set watts. When I put this one in RMS it does not show watts, but volts. The first unit when in RMS i could set watts in .5 increments. This one only (in RMS) lets me set volts in RMS. Again, it does not show watts when in RMS. Thinking it may be revarsed, i set in AVG and it correctly let me set volts. Put it back in RMS and would still only let me adjust volts. Its hard setting watts when it will only show volts (ineither mode)

You have to hold both buttons down together until it changes to watts. You hold both buttons down to change it back to volts again if you want.
There's a user manual here:

Could swear I posted to this post. Thanks kiwivap. It is all good now. I Appreciate your kind patience. This (its people) is invaluable. Day three & no cigs! WOW!!! I have not been without a cig for more then 15 min when awake (except for a handful of events I attended)in a long time.

I'm having the same Issue as OP, my Vamo suddenly won't read a single atomizer that I have, read 0.0-0.2 on my 2 Vivi's and my Splitfire. I pop em on my twist, they work fine. So glad electronicstix.com has local B&M here, just gonna go in tomorrow. If anyone has run into this issue and fixed it, please let me know.

Your centre pin needs lifting I suspect.

If you have a multimeter you can check to see if there's any power going through the atty connection when you hit the fire button, if there is power then your centre pin was pushed down by the Splitfire - they have really long posts.

Hey all. I just received my Vamo and for 2 hr it worked perfect. Had it in RMS at 7.5 Watts. All of a sudden it stopped working and the coil that came in the Vivi Nova showed 'low ohms' then LO-V indicating short circuit.(...) Keith
Same problem here, with my new Vamo v2.

It works for 20 minutes/half an hour, then it refuses to fire again, stating "LOv". I've checked the battery voltage, and it reads a freshly charged 18650 at 0.4-0.5V. Needless to say, my multimeter (and provari) reads that battery voltage at about 4.xV

If you leave the vamo alone for some time, it seems to reset itself and it works again, only to fail again less than half an hour of vaping later.

I think it has something to do with electronics heating, even though the body of the vamo doesn't feel warm...

For the record, tried with both Efest and AW 18650s, and multiple atoms, but to no avail.

Any clues?

thanks

Forgot to mention:

FWIW, I'm using IMR batteries (AW, Efest) only, vaping in RMS mode at 7.5W.

Tried using different atoms, all around 3ohm, but the issue persists.

Funny isn't it, we've all been trained to find a solution or fix first before we take what we seem to think are Drastic steps and have the things returned or replaced by the seller. For me it only happens with Vaping anything else and I'd be on the Vendor like a shot.
Not with vaping tho, no, with vaping I persist convinced that there is something I'm missing and there Must be fix, you're not alone Xpen.

well, being an IT guy already forged my mind to try and find a workaround first, and only if that fails start looking for drastic/better solutions :)

further to that, having to ship back goods to other countries highly motivates me to find a local solution whenever possible, I guess :D

besides, you're making a really good point here... it never struck my mind before, but with vaping we all seem to accept and tolerate - hell, even expect somehow - products to be faulty by design and/or build, and that finding a fix is the only way to make things work the way they should have out of the box.

probably having to daily cope with with mass-produced Asian vaping products has something to do with that (wrong) mindset... For instance when I bought my Provari, I expected it to be perfect right out of the box. And, guess it, it was ;)

cheers ;)
