Hi!

Well I've been lurking around here for the past couple of weeks and finally my first ever vaping kit arrived today, the Kanger Evod Glass starter kit. However, I have a problem (I think!)

Filled the tank no more than two thirds full and let it stand for a good 45 minutes plus but from first fire up and ever since its making continual gurgling/popping sounds. The vape is also pretty hot but guess that's down to the 1.5 ohm coils?

Its already sent me back to the rollies so any help/suggestions much appreciated! Thanks in advance,

Malc.

Welcome aboard
The gurgling and popping are the result of the tank being flooded.
Remove the tank from the battery
Wrap the tank in a paper towel or tissue
Blow through the drip tip
The excess juice will be ejected through the base of the tank
Wipe off the juice and check the battery connector for juice clean up any juice
Reinstall the tank onto the battery and vape on.

What Ebates said. & Next time you fill it up make sure you don't get any in the tube going into the coil base.
It'll take you some practice to get it right. Put the tank slightly sideways, make sure you have plenty of light to see what you're doing.
Have phun.

Regards & Welcome.

I use Aspire, but I assume all bottom coil clearos have something similar going on. I've found that with brand new, dry clearos, flooding happens quite often on the first fill, which is hella frustrating. However, I've found that if I soak the coil in water (preferably distilled) first, it alleviates that issue. You end up with no vapor for the first 10-20 hits as the water is gradually replaced by e-liquid, but I've had amazing success with breaking in my new clearos that way.

Another mistake I made often was being tentative about how much liquid I put in a new clearo. For some reason, bottom coil clearos work much better the higher the liquid is above the coil housing (probably some physics, liquid pressure, vacuum thing I don't understand). Anyways, don't overfill, but fill it to the max safe height and you'll normally have better results for getting it going.

Also, another way to clear a flooded tank is to pull off the drip tip, wrap the top with paper towels and make a flinging motion to force the excess liquid into the paper towels. Then you clean the top and put the drip tip back in. It seems less messier for me than dealing with cleaning the fluid at the bottom of the clearo that happens from the blow method. However, if the flooding has started leaked out the bottom, you might as well use the blow method.

Thanks for the input guys but there is most definitely no liquid in the centre tube when I filled it, and everything is nicely finger tight and no more.
I believe you, mate. But just for kicks, besides all the advice above,
get a pipe cleaner and stick it in the drip tip and down the tube after you fill 'er up.
Not too far or hard but gently just to where the coil is.
Also, press the trigger b4 you draw on the tank.
