Need help please with SS GGTS

I have owned my SS GGTS a month or so now and for some reason I can only get it to fire at 3.7v.My batteries to vape at 6.4 and 7.2.I have several backups and were working fine up till today and 2 sets of aw LifePO4 3.2v 500mah are pretty much brand new.I tried to clean it,use different attys and cartos but it just wont fire up.Well almost,it will fire up for a fraction of a second then cut out.Greatly appreciated if someone could help me out.

Hey Ignitor,

I'm pretty new to the world of GGs and may not know the exact solution for your issue. The only thing I know is that my SSGG started dropping in performance shortly after I got it and the solution was to take the button apart, clean it really well and sand the button spring all the way around with some 1000 grit sand paper. If you don't have a Fuse Kit upgrade, Imeo suggested that you can sand the battery spring as well.

If everything else on your GG is clean, this may be the culprit. Have you tried doing that yet?

Oh, one more thing... If you are applying Vaseline to the threads, too much is not a good thing. It seems to affect performance. I had to learn that one the hard way, too...

To be honest it sounds more like a battery problem, if it is firing for a millisecond then cutting out I would be willing to bet that its something with the batteries but definitely try cleaning inside the switch and both springs like Ologist said.

You know I had a similar issue tonight I decided to try to clean my iAtty wick by dry burning with a pair of 18350s and mine won't fire either. Wonder if the PCB's in the batterys is stopping it from firing. When I feel more up to it I might have to research it.

If the problem is in the batteries, a simple way to find out would be to try them in another PV. Just a thought...

For me the batterys work fine if I only use 1. Or if I put them in my mom's RSM they work but that is set at 4.5v when I tried it.

Its not the contact between the button and the post? Sometimes I think that gets dirtier at higher voltages, clean the both of them thoroughly and try that. That being said, I've had that happen and it was a bad new battery.......

Well vaporologist after some cleaning and a light sanding I have 2 of my 3.6v batteries stacked to vape at 7.2 and those are working now but my aw LifePO4s are still not working and the one set are brand new and only used them for a day so I'm thinking those batteries are bad.I bought 4 of them from the same vendor so wonder if he received a bad batch or something as none of those batts are working.I also have an AW 18650 that works without any problems so it has to be bad batteries I would think.

Well tested the AW LifePO4 batts and out of the 4 1 is no good.Other 3 are fully charged but still cant get them to work while my other batts are still working fine.Any other suggestions?Is it possible the batts are faulty even though they tested fine on a DMM?

Some times a batt can still fail if it is under load. Also, have you metered your atty?

how many oHms is it metered at? if its too low, say 1.2 or 1.3 it's pulling too much amps from the batts. at 6V you should be ok with a 3oHms atty.

Yea, at 6v plus do not go below 3 ohms.

If I over tighten my Tenergy 3V batts i get mis fires, not sure why but maybe something to look at?
