Just got a mini fogger today. Built a 1.2ohm coil (probably the best looking coil I've built so far) using two twisted 32 gauge kanthal wires. For the life of me I can not get this thing to work. First it was leaking like a foist now I'm just getting this nasty almost burnt flavor. I'm thinking it has to do something with the wick. I've tried to wick it several different times using both KGD cotton and rayon at various thicknesses and lengths and nothing is working. I think I've taken it apart re-wicked and re-filled about five times now and I'm on the verge of giving up. Any advice would be helpful and I can post pics if you guys want. Thanks.

I got mine off of ebay for around 30 bucks. You can also get them here FOGGER MINI RBA- Rebuildable Dual Coil Tank Atomizer | Rebuildbale Atomizers are for Experienced Vapers Only

I think I finally got it work right. I rebuilt the coil (1.6 ohm this time) wicked with some japanese cotton with the wicks about a 1/4 of the way down into the channels. At first, I tried using it with the air flow ring completely removed, but it would leak really bad out of the air holes when I filled. When I put the ring on I didn't get any leaking, but I'm really not getting max air flow, in order for everything to fit properly I have to have the top of the air holes slightly covered.
It's an alright device, but it's a pretty finicky build (I've heard this from other foggers, so I'm not surprised) and the flavor and air flow is no where near on par with my eleaf lemo. Also, the threads aren't that great, but they are function-able. I'm post some pics in a bit.

Nice! Glad you got it working and thanks for posting the pics! That is exactly why I'm thinking about one, to put on top of an Istick.

So I was thinking about maybe drilling out a hole or notch in the airflow ring to allow for a wide open vape while still being able to shut it off for filling. Do you think that is feasible or does it look impossible?

And knowing what you know now, would you still have bought it?

After messing with it for a while I was still getting too many dry hits. So I broke it down again and re-wicked with some rayon. This time, I put the bottom part of the chimney on with the wicks still long and screwed it down a little bit and then took it back off. I did this so I could use the indents made by the chimney as a mark for where to cut off the wicks. Seems fine now. Still not as good as my lemo, but pretty decent.

You could probably do some drilling on the airflow ring if you had the right equipment, this is a small device so that air ring is also pretty small, so you would have to be pretty precise and there wouldn't be that much room for error.

Concerning the question on whether or not I would have purchased this knowing what I know now, I really don't think I can say yet since I just got it today, I'd like to vape on for at least a week before I make a verdict. I will say that I most definitely prefer my lemo tank to the mini fogger, for sure. Better flavor, better air flow, more efficient filling method, and in the same price range. The reason I got the mini fogger was because I wanted to try out a smaller rta that could potentially be easier to carry around on the go (the verdict is also out on this). I'll make sure to keep an update on my thoughts on this device. Thanks.

STILL getting burnt hits on this thing. Everytime I think I fixed it it comes back in full force. The burnt hits on this thing are even worse then your average scorched cotton/rayon taste, this is reminiscent of the burnt rubber taste I used to get on my old evod clearos.
I'm put this thing aside for a while and sticking with my lemo, I don't even want to think about how much liquid I've wasted the past day and a half re-filling and emptying it almost a dozen times. The whole top fill method seemed like a good idea in theory, but it doesn't work as well as I hoped.
As for others who were interested in this device, I would only recommend to those who are well experienced in rebuildables. This is only my second rta, and compared to my first (the lemo) which I had ZERO issues with, besides the average learning curve of it being my first rta, I feel like I've encountered every issue possible with the mini fogger.
I'm scooping a lemo drop when it comes out and I'm just gonna rock out with the two lemos for a while. All of the rebuildable options out there are tempting, but the lemos work great for me, so why am I fixing what isn't broken and pissing away money in the process?
