I've contacted sigelei twice now with no response.

The threaded part popped out and the wire broke. The wire is too short to reach it to solder on a new wire or to the head. I can't figure out how to take it apart to repair it. Here are a couple pictures.

It is a sigelei VV 650

Hm. Well at least the whole thing popped out; at first I thought it was that the threads got messed up.

:( This is why I hate the fact that these foreign made mods have no option for warranty or repair. I hate seeing threads on the forum consisting of people STUCK with a broken mod and nothing to do about it.

If this guy is relatively new (like, if you bought it within the last week) then I would definitely contact the vender as soon as you possibly can. They might be able to help you out by accepting a return and exchange for a new mod. Otherwise, I'm not sure I know how to help you. Is there a separation in the body of the mod that you can get apart? It looks like the wires are coming out of a delrin insert. Maybe you could take a flat head screw driver to that delrin insert and then you can more-easily solder a new wire to the short wire?

I won the mod as a raffle at a vapor club meet, but have thought about contacting the vendor that donated it to see if they could have better luck with the supplier. I have sent 2 emails to Sigelei and can't generate a response. They claim on their website to have a 1 year warranty on their products, but it doesn't seem they care about complaints.

The top looks as if it has a break in the construction, but haven't been able to get it to twist or pop loose.

Mine has a line around it also, and I tried to see if I could unscrew it but it using a pliers but it doesn't seem to unscrew.

There is a plate on bottom that unscrews and you can see the stuff inside. With force and finesse you can pull it all out. I re soldered a new wire and then commenced to figuring out to get it back together. Leave the small buttons out and insert only the fire button. Put it all back in at an angle the turn to align the buttons. The small buttons insert from the outside and the lock in place.

Can give more details if someone needs. Just the gist of the process for the time being.

Nice to have a real mod back and can put the Spinner and ego-t back into the backup.
