I do not own the Revenger, but will say with a 2A USB charger my vaporesso Polar got hot, I mean scary hot, when charging LG HG2’s via the devices internal USB charging. Might just be my device, but something I would pay extremely close attention to if you decide to charge via USB.

I have only been batt switching on my polar, but I did run my revenger X through quick charge and it got hot. Would not let me vape on it while charging after a certain point. That said..... it uh... did charge the batteries quick lol. But I know that from all that heat it was probably hurting them.

RE: Switch from Nitecore i4 -> VP4:

My i2 is essentially the same as the i4. My question to you is: how are the springs/whatever on the VP4? My issue w/the Nitecore is that they're kind of.. umm.. crunchy? for lack of a better technical term, and that's what seems to be causing small nicks on the casing from time to time. I'm looking for something a bit smoother that doesn't necessarily require as much power to push back the tension.
Perhaps take more care in inserting and removing your batteries from your charger. Don't just carelessly pry your batteries out. When inserting your batteries, pull the springloaded holding clips back with your finger and lay the battery into the charging bay, then release the spring.

I've been using these kinds of chargers for several years and never had an issue with torn wraps. Perhaps you could find that dry lubricant that comes in a spray can to lubricate the sliders?

Almost all of the current chargers use those spring loaded clips in the charger. The lone exception, in my experience, is the Pila charger which uses adjustable spacers instead of springed clips. The spacers make it easier to insert/remove a battery. Although still considered a good charger, it falls behind in many ways as it hasn't been updated in several years.

Ok... well I put in my order, and since I was still indecisive, decided to try all three!

4 x Sony | Murata VTC6 18650 3000mAh 15A Battery
4 x Samsung 30Q 18650 3000mAh 15A Battery
6 x LG HG2 18650 3000mAh 20A Battery
1 x GYRFALCON All-44 4 Channel Digital Battery Charger
1 x Nitecore 12V Car Adapter Cable <-- Figured this is better than using my phone car charger

Then some fun stuff...
2 x 18650 PVC Heat Shrink Wraps - 10pcs - Translucent Blue
1 x 18650 Battery Flask with Magnetic Closure - 4x - Light Blue

When I upgraded my Nitecore Intellicharger i4 charger a couple of years ago I chose the Xtar VP4.

the Pila charger which uses adjustable spacers

Bad...I use my Nitecore D4 (which is on its last legs) just as often to charge my Grand Kids' toys' Ni-MH/Ni-Cd batteries as I do to charge my 18650's...

Does the VP4 and/or Pila charge Ni-MH/Ni-Cds???

Totally off the subject -- gerrymi, gotta steal that signature. And it's funny, because it asks you for the exact day that you quit smoking. Almost 8 years later.... I still know the exact day. I'm sure a lot of you do.

That's crazy to think about. There are major events in peoples' lives that they remember; some that the nation/world remembers together, some that relate to family members, and some like these where, while the date is different, the event is still the same for us. That transformation from smoker to non-smoker.

Kind of awesome.

I have a DC to AC inverter which I can plug into a 12V socket. It certainly came in handy a few years ago when the electricity was out for a week or so, and I didn't have a generator at the time. It's a low wattage output device, 400 watts I believe, but there's higher output ones available. I was only using it to power a box fan and a sometimes a desk lamp. It also monitor's the car's battery, and will shut off when there is only 10-15% of the battery's charge left. It has a small fan in it and open slots on it, so as long as the ambient temp. is within it's threshold, you can just run it with the vehicle running.

Got my order in today! Also nearly pooed myself because one of the wrappings had a nick on it, so I figured it would be better to replace that now then let things get worse, and thus I performed my first rewrap.

I'm literally drenched in sweat right now because I was freaked out about how hot I had to get the thing to shrink... Please tell me there's a decent amount of tolerance w/these things and that they aren't just going to blow up in my face....

A shrink wrap Doesn't need to get very Hot to shrink. What are you using to Shrink them?

Hair dryer on the highest setting. I'm sure it was fine, but it just seemed really hot.

I use a Blow Dryer also. And the times I have Re-Wrapped Batteries they Didn't get much hotter than what they get when I charge them.

Maybe a Smidge warmer. But not much.
