Thank you, my coils are ordered :)
I was fearing the worst

Nope.. your good. RDA's don't go bad.. you may sometimes need to replace an insulator or a screw, perhaps an o-ring but they don't go bad as a whole. For the threads to wear out would take decades. .

What mod are you putting your RDA on?

I know from previous posts you are a relatively new vaper. What coil resistance are you planing to use and what model/brand batteries are you using?
Im putting it on my G-Priv 2 :)
I have 2x Vtc6 batteries and 2x LG HG2 batteries.
i bought premade coils. As of right now i have no clue of the resistance.

Edit: The coils should be 0.17ohm
Edit Edit: Okay, so the dude who sold me the new coils told me i should start them off using 0.40ohms and the wattage shouldnt be too high.
So im using 42W and 0.40ohms, got some new cotton on there and im enjoying it :p

Since your G-Priv 2 is a regulated mod, the resistance of the coils used is not as important than if you were going to be using a mechanical mod. Mech mods use Ohm's Law; regulated mods use Watt's Law.

The amp rating of your batteries determine how many watts you can coax from your mod.

-If you use a good quality 15 amp CDR battery like the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6, then you are good up to 45 watts per battery; 90 watts using two; 135 watts for three batteries.

-If you use a good quality 20 amp CDR battery like the LG HG2 or Samsung 25R then you are good for 60 watts per battery. If using a 2-battery regulated mod, you're good for 120 watts as you have two batteries. If you are using a 3-battery mod, you're good for 180.

-If you use a single 25 amp CDR battery like the Sony VTC5A, then you are good for 75 watts per battery, 150 watts for two batteries, and 225 watts with three.

-If you use a single 30 amp CDR battery like the LG HB6 you are good up to 90 watts; with a pair of 30 amp CDR batteries you could safely do 180 watts.

So when using the Sony VTC6 (15A) batteries you'll be able to set your wattage up to 90 watts max (45W x 2 = 90W).

When using the LG HG2 (20A) batteries you'll be able to set your wattage up to 120 watts max (60W x 2 = 120W).

This is why i love this forum.
Everything is made so clear and easy to understand.
