Need help with a tesla set up

I am pretty new to this, only been vaping for about a month. I have a few Halo Triton batteries and tanks for now but I am looking into getting a Tesla. What would be the best set up for this mod? Batteries, charger and tank. I have done a few searches on the forums and a few have mentioned batteries or chargers but haven't found any about tanks or complete setups. I hope I am using the word tank correctly I see they are sometimes referred to as clearos, are they the same or different? Thank you in advance.

IMR batteries would be the best. Get the flat ones without the button tips or the bottom will not screw on all the way. As far as a charger goes, anything that will safely charge 18650 batteries would work fine. I use a Trust Fire TR-001. It is not the fastest charger in the world. I usually only charge one battery at a time. The Tesla goes from 3 - 6 volts in vv mode and 3-15 watts in vw mode. It will work well for just about any setup. I like it with the AGA t2. It is just a matter of personal taste.

This post has the best batteries and a very good charger linked. They are from RTD Vapor in the US:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vamo/376482-vamo-battery-question.html#post8521341

Lots of people have used those links.

Also, one of the batteries mentioned in that post, the Panasonic Hybrid/ IMR CGR18650CH is available here from FastTech. They are in Hong Kong.:
$10.51 Panasonic CGR18650CH Rechargeable 2250mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

They also have a good charger here:

+1 on panasonic batteries and Nitecore I2 or I4 charger. I have both the Nitecore I4 and the trustfire TR-001 and the I4 blows the trustfire out of the water. The TR-001 is now my backup/travel charger.

$10.51 Panasonic CGR18650CH Rechargeable 2250mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I have the below batteries as well that run real really well in my Vamo.

$16.29 Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

As far as tank, I'd say being new start with a vivi nova. They are inexpensive and easy to use/maintain.

+1 on this.. Good pv, battery and charger for a great price.. On tanks i think its personal preference.. If you want something simple and performs good, i would go for a kanger protank.. Very popular around here..

Clearos are short for clearomizers.. Its the ones with a wick sticking out of the tank.. Cartos are cartomizers, has a cotton (i think) filler material on the inside.. Cartos need prep before use.. Lots of videos on youtube on how to punch and set it up.. If you prefer something easier and performs good, i would go for a kanger protank.. Very popular around here.. RBA's and RDA's are a different beast IMO..

They may work but I don't recommend them. The Panasonic's I linked (and the Aw IMRs and Efest IMRs) have a safer chemistry. This one you've linked is Li-ion, and according to the fasttech forum is an unprotected Li-ion.
Don't use unprotected Li-ions in mods.
The ECF guide to rechargeable batteries is here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/129569-rechargeable-batteries.html

It says this:
"DO NOT USE UNPROTECTED RECHARGEABLE LI-ION BATTERIES IN AN APV
Use safer-chemistry batteries such as Li-Mn or protected Li-ion"

AW IMRs and Efest IMRs are Li-Mn. Panasonic CGR18650CH are a safe chemistry hybrid.

Huh. I know I am not the only Vamo user that uses these. Maybe I should use them in my flashlight and stick with the CGR18650CH's in my Vamo. You know, so I don't melt my face off. I thought these were the same chemistry as the CGR18650CH"s. But being they are not, with the Vamo's built in protection I should be ok right? I am going off data found here...

Flashlight users do use the Panasonic NCR18650B. I don't recommend them for a ecig mod - I have seen nothing that says they have the same chemistry as the CGR18650CH's. What I've read about the Panasonic NCR18650B says they are unprotected Li-ions. They also do a protected version. The fasttech one you linked is unprotected.

I'd hate to see your pv go into meltdown.

Here's what that link says:
"Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh rechargeable Li-Ion Battery
Non protected ICR"

ICR - Lithium-cobalt. They are standard unprotected Li-ions.

Here's what the ECF Guide on rechargeable batteries strongly recommends:
"DO NOT USE UNPROTECTED RECHARGEABLE LI-ION BATTERIES IN AN APV

Use safer-chemistry batteries such as Li-Mn or protected Li-ion

Rechargeable batteries

We now advise that Li-Mn or top-quality Li-FePo4 rechargeables are used in APVs, in preference to rechargeable Li-ions. We suggest the best option, in order, is:

1. AW IMR Li-Mn rechargeables.
2. AW Li-FePo4 rechargeables [Li-FePo4's MUST HAVE A SPECIAL CHARGER]. Note that these batteries are mostly 3 volt nominal so the system voltage will be lower than normal.
3. Good quality (such as AW or Pila) protected Li-ion rechargeables.
4. Branded protected Li-ions come next - such as xxxfire Li-ion rechargeables (for xxx insert Trust / Sure / Ultra-).
5. The least-preferable option is a generic protected Li-ion.
6. Unprotected rechargeable Li-ion cells should not be used.
7. Standard cells (non-rechargeable) should not be used."

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/129569-rechargeable-batteries.html

Added this post to respond to your edit.

Those sort of batteries are not recommended for use in APVs. Search the forum - you'll see IMRs or the hybrid Panasonics are the ones that are safer. As well as the ECF guide put together by a group of members who know their stuff.

Hey there! You're starting out with a very reliable mod. I started a Tesla Owners Group just click on the link in my signature and join us. :)

You've been given some good info here about the batteries and charger. As far as what to put on top? Right now I'm using the Kanger Pro Tank. I like it right now, but I don't know if I could recommend it to a new guy. They can have some problems, and if you don't know a lot this might discourage you. If you know something then you can try one and you should be all right.
If you know anything about rebuilding wicks, I would recommend the Smoktech RSST. You can buy pre-rolled SS wicks and coil them yourself. It's a really good starter tank to get your feet wet in rebuildables and to have as a main go to tank. A lot of people are really happy with them. I'm ordering mine tomorrow with some wick and wire. I'm gonna try my hand at rebuilding. Good luck and join our group if you want anymore help. The members are really nice and can help you with you choices also. :)

I'm currently using it to charge ICR 2000Mah 3.7v batteries. They're blue and came in the Tesla kit with the charger. Thanks. :)

Those are Li-ion so should be ok. Not the best batteries for the Tesla though - they sound like unprotected Li-ions. If so they are not recommended for APVs. Previous posts on the thread explain that.

So these batteries should be fine with my Tesla? They're the same but flat top. Thanks again. :)
NCR18650PD 18650 Panasonic Rechargeable Li-ion Battery Flat Top

Your link doesn't work Danny.
Couple of things - why not get a good quality charger, and I think these are the batteries you were after:
$10.51 Panasonic CGR18650CH Rechargeable 2250mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Same ones can be bought from the US here:
Button top
Batteries : Panasonic Hybrid/ IMR CGR18650CH Button Top

or flat top:
Batteries : Panasonic Hybrid/IMR CGR18650CH
