Hi, will be short as for now, maybe there is already an answer, but will specify more if need.

Got the ego type from my fren, it's from Korea and called Daniel Vega 2. Did not manage to find any specs for coil or battery. Today when replacing the coil the screen just flashed green once and turn off, now cannot on, cannot charge also. When connecting a clearomizer before - screen shows 2.0, so I suspect it's ohm reading. 1st coil that I made shows 1.7 and when I press button it just flash red, my second coil showed 2.4 and it switched off immediately after I press button.

Any idea? Saw something about recovery mode - how to quit this? No child lock, tested 5 click.

It may be that the center pin of the battery is not making a good connection with the atomizer of the clearomizer/tank. This usually occurs from over-tightening the tank onto the battery connector. Just make sure that if you use something conductive (metal) to pry up on the center pin that you do NOT hit the fire button while you are working on the battery.

To Robert,

Currently battery doing nothing. With or without. Haha I lost the hope already, will go for a replacement soon. Think when I press the button that time the coil was touching the side (I get a wrong wire, 1 size smaller, so the coil I make slightly bigger than its supposed to be) I did not bother that, thought this common issue should have some kind of protection. But this seems to burn the circuit board.

To Susan,

Thx for advise, but it doesn't work even without atomizer.

It seemed to have normal protection. It fried instead of blowing up.

To r77r7r, ya is good that its not blown up, but what i thought is that there some kind of fuse in it. Now when i know that the only protection is fried circut board i will be more carefull and meter the connection before firing.. haha.. just curious - how about box mods? It will also fry if such thing happened or there more advanced protection/warning?

Some setups will fry and some setup will blow:danger:

Whoa.. Thanx for this valuable info.. Really didn't know that and this warning does not shining anywhere on forums or other places related despite there is a high chance of this short circuit in Ego types.
If you practice batt safety and not go lower than .2 ohms and also dont short circuit your own mod, it'll be fine :thumb::vapor:

This should NEVER be attempted on an eGo style battery. Generally, 1.8 is as low as you really should go on those types of batteries.
