Hello and many thanks for this awesome forum and it's members.
The short of it, my 70 year old Mom got an eGo-t about a month ago, saw it, tried it, thought about it, bought one. Loved smoking never really intended to quit but going on 2 weeks now and this past Monday made one week analog free after 34 years PAD! I'm happy at this point with the eGo-t, battery life is manageable, I don't mind for now filling the empty cartridges, I think if I can just find the right juice or one to give me decent flavor and th I'll be set for a little while until I can make more steps on this journey, I need to keep it simple for now. Details of juices I have tried and results, maybe someone can help me figure this out. Sorry it's so long, but, here goes-
Juice report (descriptions are what I got from Co's websites or invoice)
Bought eGo-T starter kit from local store (Clean Smoke), with "High Quality Dekang PG-Based *MENTHOL* Flavored e-liquid, 30mL 12mg"
Since I smoked analog menthols (Salem slim light 100's but for last year switched to light menthol from our local roll your own store which I didn't like nearly as much as my Salem's but couldn't afford $60 a carton at a pack a day any longer). I actually liked this "Dekang Menthol". Salem's Slim 100's were a strong menthol without much tobacco taste) the Dekang Menthol is a strong menthol, almost more of a peppermint.

returned 2 weeks later to Clean Smoke and bought-
High Quality Dekang PG-Based *COFFEE* Flavored e-liquid, 10mL 18mg
*light vapor, th and flavor
High Quality Dekang PG-Based *VANILLA* Flavored e-liquid, 10mL 18mg
no flavor, very little th or vapor
High Quality Dekang PG-Based *WATERMELON* Flavored E-Liquid, 10mL 18mg
light flavor, th and vapor
Just found out tonight the Dekang bought here is 100% PG so maybe not the best match for an eGo-T w/empty cartridges?

In the span of a few days, I ordered juice from
*Madvapes (Ultamint-heavy PG for a soild throat hit and a little VG , Green Apple-50% PG, Hazelnut Caramel Macchiato-blend of PG, VG,-all 16mg/10ml)
All these juices for me were very light in flavor, difficult draw and very light th or vapor also all these juices gave me some very odd sharp weird itchy feeling in my throat that thankfully I didn't experience with any other juices.

*BWB-(Green Apple, Mango-both 70pg/30vg and Malty Toffee-70vg/30pg-all 12mg-pg/vg ) I found these to be decent on flavor although haven't tried the mango yet.
Th is ok and vapor ok, all still too hard of a draw though to get any decent th or vapor.

*Yesterday I received an order from Copper Creek (Copper Creek Coffee and Peach both 18mg pg/vg 30/70) I found the flavor in both these to be better than the other 2 vendors for me as well as moderately better th and vapor.

I think I've figured out finally that flavor and throat hit are more important to me than tons of vapor. Maybe I'm not going to get those with the ego-t? Maybe I just need a different pg/vg ratio. ANY suggestions/help here would be greatly appreciated! I'm committed to get this right or at least better. None of these juices so far do I go WOW except the menthol Dekang which is strong with good th but, the other Dekangs were not.
Thanks, so much, in advance, I'm off to bed in a few so any replies will be gratefully read in the morning.

You do get a somewhat muted 'cooler' vape with the ego-T. That's what I found, which is fine for menthol e-liquid. You could try some cartomizers on your ego-t battery and see which you prefer.

If I were you, I'd find a juice in the collection you already have that you find acceptable. You don't have to be in-love with it. I say that because your taste in juices will change tremendously over the next month. What you don't like now, you may love in a week or two when your taste buds come back. You can even mix a couple of the juices you already have together.

I notice you ordered from BWB. I didn't try it so I can't say but I know someone that was a Salem smoker and likes the BWB menthol. More of a tobacco menthol. All BWB juice needs to steep a bit.

Welcome to the forum!
I also started on the menthol and never smoked menthol cigarettes before, but it was the most satisfying.
Mix my juice about 80/20 VG/PG as me and PG don't get along real well.
Good luck to you!:vapor:

Thanks. How long have you been vaping? What "hardware" do you use if I might ask? and how does PG affect you negatively or it just doesn't work well for you? Curious what problems others have with PG.

Maybe I will need to upgrade my equipment sooner than I think but I do like the size and feel of the eGo-t and wouldn't want to go with anything much bigger in size so not sure how many options there would be. I haven't tried cartomizers yet, do they make a difference in flavor/vapor/th?

Thanks again!

I think they do definitely. You can use boge 2.0 or smoktek 1.7 cartos on your ego-t batteries. They aren't all that expensive.
They are disposable, but can be used several times. You can get a pack of 5 for $6-$7 dollars, less if you find a sale.

The tank is a good way to test flavors though.

Actually with your Ego batteries, I would stick more toward the PG side of things. Some people do have allergies to PV or get irritation from it. In a case like that you could go toward VG but would then probably need to thin it out some with alcohol or distilled water.

VG is very thick, and Ego batteries only put out 3.4 volts. Juice high in VG can clog up your atomizer very quickly.

It really doesn't sound like you're doing bad the way you're going. The main thing is to stay off the cigarettes for now. As you upgrade your gear many more options in juices will become available. Not that you couldn't try them now, it's just that you may find it inconvenient and messy if your atomizer clogs up and starts leaking juice out.

You could try a couple Low resisitance Vision clearomizers or Low Res cartomizers. The LR would allow you to vape higher VG juices without making a mess. But still at 3.4v I'd probably keep it below 50% VG.
