First, prime your atomizer with a few drops of juice (first use). To wet the atomizer, just sqeeze the bottle lightly until you just begin to see a little liquid at the holes in the catch cup. I like to lightly suck the juice up into the atty after that (without firing) but that's only needed for 306's, and is kind of a habit I have for the 510's.
Then fire it and take a long slow drag.
The batts last me about 1 per 1 - 1 1/2 mil of juice.

Squeeze, then vape....while you are figuring out your rhythm, try about 5-6 drags, then gently squeeze the bottle again. You will probably need to carry a couple of batteries with you as the recommended batteries only last me about 2mls. How many mls your battery will last will depend largely on what atty you use, what juice you're vaping and how you vape it.

You may also want to master the "blind squonking" method - instead of looking to see a little juice in the well, just push on the bottle while drawing gently on the atty or carto (without firing the button). Stop when you hear gurgling or feel any resistance. Then you're ready to vape for several drags, lather, rinse, repeat. ;-)
I'm on my first day and I'm having a tough time finding a rhythm. If I don't squeeze hard enough, it doesn't wet the atty and then when I squeeze it harder, it's flooded and gurgling. Once I get over the flooding, I get two really nice vapes before I get a dry hit and the challenge starts all over again.
I'm using a 1.7 Ohm 306, BTW.
Watch the little holes in the catch cup, you really only need to see the liquid barely peeking there. Also, with the 306's, you should suck it lightly after squonking to get the juice into the atty before firing, and they need to be well-primed. 306's are a little more difficult to get the hang of than 510's.
You may want to try removing the wick from your 306 - not really needed with a bottom-feeder. It's real easy - just push the wick to one side out from under the bridge using a toothpick or paper clip, then grab it with a tweezers and gently pull it out.

So, after reading this I grabbed my mini with the LR306. First...I believe these atties prefer to be wet. They use juice faster than a LR510 in my experience. I vape mine (510s included) at flooded at all times....it even gurgles. once you have juiced it, perhaps suck on the tip before firing...that will ensure the atty is well coated. Then vape....take maybe about 4-5 drags...then squeeze the bottle again...and repeat. This way, hopefully, you won't get that dry burny taste while you adjust to your new vape. If that doesn't do it, perhaps go back to a LR510 atty....and get comfy with that first..then try the LR306 again. Everyone does it differently...I hope you can find your groove soon!
I started off with an LR510 and was getting 1-2 good hits between gurgling and dry. The 306 is getting me 2-3 at this point so it is a tad better. It's probably a combination of getting used to the REO and breaking in the atty at the same time.
When it's just right, the vape is brilliant. Much better than any tank or carto and every good as dripping (which I also had a hard time getting down). I'm getting there.

that's right...I totally forgot about breaking in new atties. That could be part of the issue. Let us know how you're doing tomorrow. - Status
