Need help with RDA

Hey everyone, I been vaping for maybe 3 months, have Kangertech Subox mini & tank, lately I'm finding a lot of my stuff doesn't taste right, whether I change could, tanks & so on, I want to start dripping but not sure which RDA to get, basically want good airflow and flavor of course, something not pricy either...what's everyone's suggestions !?

Tugboat v2 is a great RDA especially justvl getting into RDA another one is patriot

I like Vulcun Vector or Tugboat V1 with a Tuglfe Slam Top.

Which ever you choose I would start off with a clone because some rda's can be very very costly.

The velocity or plume veil 1.5 clones are on ebay for 10 to 15 bucks and totally worth it. My votes for the velocity. It's super easy to build.

rda's are fundamentally not pricey.
Aim to spend $10 to $20 on your first rda.

I recommend the manta, velocity or magma - in that order.


mutation, plume veil are pretty popular I think.

and after 3 months vaping its probably time to experiment with a wider variety of flavors; your tastebuds have probably recovered from smoking

I reccomended the Sapor. I now have a Sapor, mutation X V4, and the royal Hunter. The royal Hunter has a proprietary drip tip that gets HOT! Still looking for a workaround.

The mutation is what I'm using when subohming and vaping at high wattage, but it has bottom airflow (so has high potential for dripping juice out of the rda onto you and your possessions.


The Sapor is "top" airflow (really the top of the sidewall), and while I haven't built on it for cloud chasing, some have with great result. You can expect zero leaking juice from the Sapor unless you have tons of juice in the well and tip it completely sideways.

I can provide pics for better explanation if any of what I have said is unclear, let me know.

were you a smoker? if so, it may not be that your juice/gear is starting to taste off, it may be that YOU are starting to taste right.

if this is the case, i'd start looking at different styles of juice. ie, if you like fruity, try some desserts or tobaccos. i liked fruity for 2-3 months when i started vaping, then when my taste came back i couldn't stand it; became too sweet for me.

i'm not saying don't get a dripper (it's good to have one, even if for only testing flavors), but if it is your juice that tastes funky, all it will do is give you a more intense funky flavor.

Im using an authentic Vector at the moment and enjoying it quite a bit.
Not sure if there is a clone of it and if so if its as good or close.

RDA's usually give you a stronger vape but they don't really change a bad liquid into a good one.

I appreciate the help, I'm going to look into what everyone said, and I do think I need to change flavors up a bit, it's odd the only thing I can taste good is my cereal milk from Kilo which is my favorite, but still to taste nothing else is driving me insane, besides menthol of course. Now I usually use .5 ohm what's the main difference between that and Say 1.5? I get easily confused and with an rda do I have to up my wattage, I usually keep it on 20 now with the tanks, and what's the main difference between single and double builds!? Lol sorry I just have so much to learn

I ended being gifted a Tobeco Turbine which isn't to bad, however found placing the top back on to be a pain, the top rubber seal keeps being pushed, so I have removed that one and so far so good. I will say dripping is amazing, I am def. getting flavor that I didn't before. Now I am having battery issues...only me...I swear

I highly reccomend the twisted messes clone they can be bought for $30 and are identical to the authentic and are well built , there's not much you can't do with them I have 15 rdas and my twisted messes is always with me next choice would be a darkhorse tobecco clone they are very well built also and I use mine daily more than enough airflow options and are only around $15
