I love this mode and sadly the center post on BOTH of my units is coming loose. This could easily be a built in failure point. I worked for sewing machine companies that had built in failure points and "work-arounds" had to be developed by enterprising technicians. I need the driver size or to know where to get a driver that will fit so that I do not begin to have the kinds of problems I can see will come if I do not get it tight before it gets more loose.....

Can you people help? I am not to the point of having to put in spacers ( I don't think) I just want to tighten it and when I first saw it-- I did not see that the screw is extremely special.
Can you help before the istick 50 w becomes dangerous-- where can a get a driver or something to tighten the unit?

Welcome to ECF!

I don't own a 50w. They are known to have some issues. AFAIK the center pin on an istick 50w is spring loaded. I have read stories about them falling out.

Are you asking about the screws that hold the top cap on? They are Torx screws (AKA Star screws). I'm not sure what size but probably 5-6.
