my 2week old YJ tube needs help. the 510 connecter is getting loose from the tube. not the pin inside. the whole connector is started to slide up and down. it only moves a little bit rite know , but i would like to stop it before it gets worse. is there a fix for this. also, is it common. it did roll off my computer table twice onto a carpeted floor. the table is about 2 1/2 feet high. i don't think that would have done it, but those are the facts.......thanks for any suggestions.............vince

Call the vendor and send it back. Sounds clearly defective.

thanks, but was trying to avoid that. this is my primary batt, and didn't want to wait for the turn around time. going on a small trip in a couple of days. seems like just a small prob. hoping there was an easy fix. surely i am not the only one who had this happen, well maybe i am,

I have two Young-June black v1.5t units that are still performing perfectly after five months, but my Y-J chrome v2.0 Vtube died after only three months of moderate use.

The death was preceded by the same problem you describe---the top connector assembly is simply press fit onto the body with a crude shim to hold it in place. Mine became loose after about a month and a half, and grew worse, to the point where it would fall out, putting stress on the positive wire into the 510 connector. Finally, the silicon grommets (there are two of them) inside the connector failed, and my Vtube went belly up.

Send it back NOW and get a replacement unit. Odds are too high that the problem will worsen over time and lead to bad things, by which time your all-too-brief "warranty" will have expired.

Yeah, return it. In the meantime, don't you have a friend with some electrical engineering skills? It doesn't take much to do a basic box mod. It won't be VV, of course, but for a couple of bucks (literally) you can build a basic box to tide you over while you wait. You'd basically only need a 510 connection, a bit of electrical wire, a button rated for 3 to 5 amps and someplace to assemble it where you can fit a battery.

If your model isn't a "mini" then you have 18650 batteries already. An 18650 battery case would be ideal for you. $(KGrHqJ,!g4E3uZ0zMfJBN-Dy4g)Wg~~_12.jpg
A soldering iron, a hot glue gun, the parts I mentioned and 20 mins worth of work and you'd be set for a while. I personally prefer using an epoxy putty to glue the 510 connection to the case, I found it to be the most durable solution, hot glue and regular epoxy glues tend to stress out or come apart from the heat, the putty lasts a long time.

So what youre saying is when I order one from Vapor beast this week I will be better off getting the regular black one and not the chrome with the ego threading? lol

Not necessarily. Any particular Young-June chrome (or black chrome) v2.0 Vtube may last a long time. Mine didn't, and I've seen posts about more than one that failed in the same way mine did. All I'm really suggesting is that the black/silver 1.5t versions have top connector assemblies that are apparently sturdier and less prone to failure.

The weight of the two versions is substantially different. A black or silver 1.5t, when loaded with an 18650 IMR battery, is relatively light---3.10 ounces. The chrome v2.0 with an 18650 weighs in at a hefty 5.20 ounces. (For contrast, an 18650 extended ProVari is 6.0 ounces, while an eGo Twist 650 is a mere 1.15 ounces). So, if you like a heavier tube, get the chrome or black chrome. If a lighter unit pleases you, get the black or silver.

Also, battery life is shorter on the chrome versions. I don't know why, but iVape even mentions that fact concerning their chrome Varitube-X (same as the VaporBeast Vector VV). Vape time between battery swaps is at least 30% longer with the black/silver v1.5t. Not a big deal, but slightly strange.

I hope that whatever you decide to get makes you a happy vaper.
