Ok, so one of my friends wants to get into vaping. She likes the size of my M402 (96mm). My back up is a DSE084 (8084), one of her friends also has this model, which she thinks is too small...plus I didn't recommend it to her because of how sensitive the mic is (running your finger down the side will trigger it). Conversely, my room mate has a DSE103 which she thinks is too big (mostly the diameter). Anyway, I'm looking at some options of other models that are similar in size....

First, the 8097. Is this the same as the DSE097? Has anyone used one of these before? From what I can tell is it is a 8084 with a different atomizer/battery combo that makes it a little longer. If so, I don't think this one will be any better than the 8084 if it uses the same uber-sensitive mic switch.

Second, the 8589. I can't seem to find any info on this model. Like what atomizers will fit or anything. That alone makes me want to shy away. I'm also getting mixed info, some sites say it is 107mm and some say it is 89mm. Any one have any hard information about this model?

Last thing...it seems the way that SLB comes up with their model numbers is the first two numbers are the diameter and then the last two are the length. Is that correct? I based this assumption on the fact that the 8084 is 8.0mm x 84mm and the 8097 is 8.0mm x 97mm. So that leads me to believe that the 8589 is 8.5mm x 89mm.

I think that I will most likely recommend the M402...just because I love mine so much.

Does anyone else have any recommendations?

Decided to pass on both of these and go with an m-series.

Turns out that the 8097 is the same thing as the 8084 only with a different atomizer, which makes it longer...so it more than likely suffers from the super sensitive switch.

Then we have the 8589, which has no available information anywhere....Decided to skip it for that reason.
