Does anyone know where I can get instructions on how to build a mod from madvapes 'Aluminum Tube Flashlight'?
I got a VERY cute pink one and a green one, with the intention of making mods out of them, but now I can't find any info. I'm a total noob, so I need clear instructions with pics if possible.
Thanks in advance :).

The most recent MadVapes newsletter contains a few links.

MadVapes Knowledgebase
Many questions can be answered by reading our articles posted in our knowledgebase. All of our previous newsletter articles are posted there by catagory. It can be accessed several ways. It is part of the same system we use to log tickets. When you are on the page to submit a ticket you can click on "View Entire Knowledgebase" at the bottom.

Check the modders section on this forum, too. I've seen many detailed instructions there.

I've searched and searched for a few weeks before asking and also I didn't find any flashlight mod on MadVapes Knowledgebase. I will look again though, Thanks for the reply.

Here is a Green Flashlight I made. The how to is on photobucket. There was a how to on Madvapes but I can`t seem to find that link now to the how to area.
Anyhow there was another mod shown using some type finishing washer as the end cap and that would also be a way to do the end cap and ground all in one. I just don`t know what size that washer was now though.

Now the above how to you need to see just how that flashlight comes apart but mine bought a year ago all came apart in 3 sections so getting the flashlight guts out was easier for me perhaps.

Did you know these flashlights also Glow in the dark?
And as always shoot me a PM and I`ll be glad to help if needed.:thumb:

That is something that just baffles me. Same flashlights but the ones now only come apart into 2 parts?
It will just make it harder to get the flashlight guts out. You won`t need them so don`t worry on busting them but the flashlight head will not be an option.

The flashlight switch could be used but mine is a main shut off and honestly the switch is cheap and there has been times I had to hit it a couple times to turn it on. It could be used but it clicks on and stays on. Rocketman has a thread on making it stop from locking on I believe.

The bottle cap can be pushed in place though through the lens area of the flashlight and then put into place as shown in the photo`s.
So just getting the flashlight part out will be tricky. A socket and hammer will be usefull perhaps.

You might go to the hardware store and check the finishing nuts/washers for the end cap or I like the JB weld myself.
You need a connector of what you prefer and a LED is an option I`d be happy to draw up how to hook that up for you.
Connectors

and JB weld hardens like Metal hope they have that there in Tokyo

From here I`d like to just use PM so not to upset the madvapes forum if it does.

adding someifo I just found (finishing washer #12) but the grounding screw will still need used.

Thanks! Not sure about the JB weld, I must go to the hardware store, but I'm pretty sure I can find something similar. I have everything else, including the ready wired atomizer connector (from Madvapes). Yes, I would LOVE to have an LED in it, if it's not too complicated for me...lol
Hey, why would anyone get mad? If this turns out to be the wrong forum a mod can just move it, can't they? Anyway, these are all MadVapes stuff we are using and I started this thread, so we aren't highjacking anything...

If you ordered the LED from madvapes the resistor could go on the positive leg or the negative but I recommend the negative. It would be nice to have a piece of tubing to slide over the positive side of the LED then solder it to the switch. It will need soldered to the same post as the connector for the atomizer. It should be shortened to just reach the hole where you want it as well.
You can bend these legs over and make a J then stick it to whatever and squeeze it shut to help when soldering it as it will hold itself there.

The resistor needs to be shortened as well on one side as does the negative leg of the LED. Have the resister really close to the LED This is to help make less possibility of it getting where we don`t want it and possibly touching where it would short.

The other and last leg off the resistor will be attached to the ground wire of the connector for the atomizer.
Now that ground wire should be shortened but you will need to place the connector around where it will be and determine the length.
Then have it sticking out the end of the flashlight as the LED/resister leg also should be sticking out that hole. Shorten it and solder the two together and tuck back in the flashlight.

 Did I connfuse anyone there as much as myself?

Maybe this picture will help.

or maybe this
Here is a diagram of what it looks like in a well diagram of a basic mod circuit with LED
