Need More Throat Hit...

I have an Indulgence mod that can be used at 3.7. or 6.0v. When I first started using it at 6 volts the throat hit used to hit me like a ton of bricks. Now the throat hit is not so much.

I switch off between 510 and 901 HV atty's, and they are not clogged or anything. They work perfectly fine and they give off a ton of vapor. In fact there is lots of vapor, just not a lot of throat hit. And I know it's not the batteries.

The juice that I'm using is quite a few tobacco flavors from FreedomSmokeUSA. They are exellent and the flavor is great. And I just stick to a 50/50 mix of the PG/VG from them since you can choose your premix when you order from them.

I think I read on the forum somewhere that pg gives more T.H. but I'm not certain of this. So how can I get more T.H.? Do I need more PG?

Try an 80/20 PG to VG mix... if that still doesn't cut it.. I would hate to say you might have to up your Nic a bit..

if you ever venture of to DIY I heard PGA helps with TH as well

Anyways...what is PGA? I've read that before but never new what it was. I tried to do a google search but couldn't really find anything. I will try the 80/20 mix BTW.

A couple of suggestions. Try a brand new atty to see if there is a difference. Up your nic level to 24 (or 36 if you already use 24). Clean the contacts on your connector with an eraser. You can try putting 6-7 drops of Everclearn (grain alcholol) in your e-liquid althougth this never worked for me. Make sure your batteries are not weak.

if you mouse over PGA you will see that it is pure grain alcohol ...

yeah ive done tons of research before i ever started vaping your best bet for a good TH is either uping nicotine or uping your pg%...id up both and just get a 5 ml bottle for a couple bucks just to test it out

I've heard PG will give better throat hit than VG (but less vapor). I haven't tested this since I don't have any PG yet to mix with.

I find that my recipes with 95% grain alcohol have a pretty good kick (you can buy at liquor stores in USA other post mentioned 'Everclear' the brand I found is 'Golden Grain'. I'm from Canada originally, where sale of anything over 80 proof is not allowed, but some people use Vodka instead).

I use quite a bit (about 15% by volume) ; I add 1.5mL as part of a 10mL batch, a carto I can usually fill with .75-1mL juice and there are about 20-25 drops in a mL, so if you just want to add to an already filled cart, I guess that only works out to about 3 drops... (these are pretty big drops from a disposible plastic pippet).

Also, you might try different flavors.. I find that cinnamon has a heck of a kick, anise (licorice) too. Both of these are a bit tricky to get right though because they are extremely overpowering flavors.

And of course upping the nic. level will help, I find this gives more of a tingling throat sensation though... If you ever tried nicotine gum you'd know what I mean.
