Hey hey! I used to smoke analogs, then I got a Blu Cigarette Kit, The charger broke and my friend in the navy ran off with my usb charger on accident. The flavor was kinda bad anyways, it would just randomly disappear (the flavor) and taste like burnt rubber. Anyways, I am back on analogs but don't want to die an early death. I am fairly young, and need to kick the analog habit. Girls don't necessarily like kissing an ash tray.

Here is the real problem I am faced with: Which kit?

There are so many! I am looking at a 902 or sidesho from Modern Vapor because I have heard nothing but good things about them. I am also considering a Joyce from Cignot. But I honestly have no clue where to start.

There are SO MANY differing opinions, but to me the choice came down to easy of use and quality of performance. The choice I made was the kr808d-1, also marketed as the vaporking, nebula, and a few other names.

The battery on this unit is known to be of high quality, and last longer than the average personal vaporizers. The taste it provides is great, and this model uses cartomizers (which are refillable) that just screw on and are ready for use.

Performance is great too! Some will argue that other types produce more vapor. That may be true, but I don't need to exhale the same amount vapor that a fog machine produces. For the sake of just getting a "nic fix" the kr808 more than does the job.

So, if you're like me and don't want to get involved with dipping, and dripping, and replacing the padding, or fluffing the padding, blowing out atomizers, etc and want to use your device to vape ejuice with a minimum of fussing, I can't think of a better starter unit than the kr808d-1.

I have both the 510 and the kr808.
Both have advantages and both are good kits.
The main differance is the kr808 has a longer battery life and uses
cartomizers. Plug and play , screw on a cartomizer and go , thats it.
The cartomizers are refillable too if you choose to do so and you probably will as there is
a whole lot of good juices to try out there

The 510 is good for a bit more vapor and if you want to get in to modifying a unit or playing with dripping. It produces a good vapor but will dull the taste of some juices.
It is a bit lighter then the kr808 with a standard battery on it and the standard battery does charge a bit quicker then the kr808.

Depends on how much you can afford to start out with...I would start out with the eGo since it is a 510 with a battery that lasts several hours cignot.com has the kits in stock now.
Get a 510 to cartomizer adapter from alt.smokes and acouple packs of filled 808 cartomizers from there as well or get 510 cartomizers you won't need the adapter for when driving and read up on dripping and refilling cartomizers...start out right and save yourself alot of money in the long run.

I started out w/ a blu, too...and now i have a 510. The 510 is great, lots of vapor, although the batts don't last very long if you're heavily vaping, everyone has been refering me to an eGo for the battery life (same atomizers and carts as a 510), and i will be getting one very soon. Cignot is a great company, i got my 510 from them, and i love their juices. They will also get your order to you promptly.

Alright, so the 510 seems like a good choice. But since it is the same as the eGo apparently, it comes down to money. But all this business about dripping and whatever. Where do I start? Is there somewhere that can instruct me on the basics? I would be super stoked to try dripping because there are alot of flavors and I hear it taste better.

I started off with a Greensmoke and then quickly went to a VaporKing from Vapor4Life.com. Very good website, quick shipping, lots of flavor choices, good prices. I can't say that the Greensmoke was terrible, but it did have some things about it that were very serious cons. Very short battery life, limited cartridge flavors, no option of buying the juice to refill (not in the same flavors Greensmoke uses anyway, they have unique flavors), not many places to buy supplies from other than Greensmoke itself, and sometimes the quality control on their carts was terrible. The pros seemed to be a bigger vapor (when a cart was operating well) and the two piece system, of which the latter of the two can be accomplished elsewhere as well. Enough to send me to V4L.

For a beginner, I don't think you can go wrong with the V4L VaporKing. You can get all you need from that site. I would recommend getting some juice from them and the "PREMIUM" blank carts they sell. The premiums have a rubber stopper at the end the is VERY easy to pop off, which makes it very easy to refill. I actually use a pair of nail clippers, the curved part that is used to clean under finger nails is actually and awesome tool to just pop the top! By the way, if anyone from V4L is reading, I'd recommend adding a "top popper" tool to the site. I know you can grab pretty much anything in a pinch, especially with the premium carts, but hey, why not find the "ultimate" tool? Battery life is excellent, and there are a few different ways to charge (wall charge, usb charge, or car charge). I would recommend getting a usb passthru for the ultimate 808d-1 experience! I like the other batteries for when I'm on the go. Just bring a few carts and maybe some juice for quick refills and you are set. I prefer the manual batteries because I like to control my vaping--the more I read, the more it seems that the majority of people like the manual buttons as well, but I'm sure it is another aspect that is subjective.

All in all, I now have a Janty Stick V3, which is nice, and I'm still getting the hang of it because there is more involved in the 3 piece systems. I still use the V4L's for their portability and as backup if the Janty is empty or not quite functioning how I'd like. I switch back and forth. For ease of use, portability, battery life, options for suppliers, good vapor production, throat hit, and good taste, I'd recommend the VaporKing from V4L, a couple manual batteries and a usb pass thru. Get some juice and some blank carts as well and you're set for a while to enjoy the vaping experience. I do see some advantages to the three piece sets, but I tend to be someone that gets really excited and, well, obsessed with something new that I like, so I enjoy the searching and experimenting with different types.

Everything is subjective with vaping, which I'm sure more will agree, but that doesn't mean that there aren't certain models that will meet a persons subjective tastes better than others. You may have to just pick one and go with it to see what your vaping tastes are, then once you experience it, you will know what to look for and where to get it.

Best of luck!

P.S. I was a pack to pack and 1/2 per day smoker for about 15 years, never tried to quit before, but was off analogs in literally 3 days (would have actually been sooner but I didn't want to waste the remainder of a pack of cigarettes I had, haha!), and it was actually with the Greensmoke, which I don't like nearly as much as the others I have since purchased.

I prefer the DSE901 over the Joye510 but that's a personal preference. The battery life of the 3 basic "just a bit bigger than a 100's cigarette" size are: Joye 510 < DSE901 < KR808D-1. Vapor production is opposite: Joye510 > DSE901 > KR808D.

The eGo (or Tornado) is just a 510 atomizer on a bigger battery. DSE makes the DSE905 with is the same, a bigger battery on the 901 atomizer. The KR808D already has long lasting batteries (280ma capacity) but makes XL ones (380ma).

So if you like the basic model you can step up to the larger battery version and keep your small batteries for when they're convenient. Other folks might say just get the big battery to start since that's where you'll end up. I think its likely you would but some folks don't like the bigger heavier larger batteries.

Its not that much of a loss if you get the normal sized normal battery version ad then later get the bigger one.

I personally am a huge fan of the products from PureSmoker.com
I've had a prodigy v1 and v2, and I've only blown one addy in the year I've been using them. They're very sturdily built, all-metal except the switch (the new V2.1 has a metal switch too!) They are compatible with 901, 801, and 510 addys through adapters (which are fairly cheap considering you don't have to buy another device). The kit comes with two sets of batteries, so you'll never go without vaping. I use an 801 and it has a nice throat hit, but that doesn't impact the flavor at all. I've tried quite a few ecigs, and the Prodigy is easily my favorite. Considering they're from the same guy, the Protege and Ace are surely just as good! The Ace is designed more like a BluCig, so it probably doesn't have as much power.
