Does anyone have a recommendation for a tank? I am not thrilled with Aspire tanks and I can't stand tanks that use wicks (cotton strands) I prefer atomizers with coils (preferably only one coil). I have heard that Kangertechs leak but would consider either a Protank or Aerotank. Are there any other brands? Recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I see a lot of sub tanks but i don't quite understand mechanical mods.

A Mech Mod is just a Tube that holds a Battery with a Switch on it. It doesn't have any Electronics in it to Change the Output Voltage.

So with a Freshly charged Battery (4.1 Volts), when you push the Button on a Mech Mod, you get 4.1v at your Atomizer. And as the Battery Drains, the Voltage Slowly Drops.

Mech Mods also do Not have any built in Protection if your Atomizer Shorts.

I wouldn't Recommend a Mech Mod to someone who is New to Vaping. And I would Never recommend a Mech Mod to someone who is wants to go Below about .7 Ohms.

Because if you go Too Low on the Ohms of you Atomizer, you can Exceed the Amps a Battery can provide. And since there is No Protection in a Mech Mod, the Battery can/will Melt Down.

I have two KangerTech Subtanks -- one Nano (no RBA, single OCC coil), and one Plus (with RBA optional).

The stock coil options are 0.5ohm or 1.2ohm.

Would I recommend them? I don't know. It depends on how you vape and what you're looking for out of a tank. The Nano is incredibly easygoing if you A. aren't looking to venture into the world of rebuildables, and B. don't mind re-filling your tank throughout the day.

For the record, I'm using these sub tanks on an iStick 50w.

If you don't like cotton wicks, the Kanger Aero is a great tank. I have several Aero V2 tanks. All stainless steel and glass, easy to fill, easy to replace the coil, airflow control, no leaking. It's a quality product.

I don't use my Aspire Nautilus tanks anymore, one sits at an angle on the battery because the 2 bottom metal portions have slightly pulled apart and I'm just not getting a satisfying vape from them so it's time to pass them along. I use my Aero quite a bit still, I bought it at the same time as the Aspire tanks and it's held up well, basically like new still. After buying a couple Kanger Subtanks (plus version) I've decided to stick with Kanger. The Subtanks are great and as long as you fill them slightly lower than "full" and refill before they're really low they don't leak (at least in my experience). I like them so much I'm buying a couple more and I'm using them more often than my Lemo's. They've been perfect for me but I don't think you could go wrong with the Aero tanks either.

I was on here a few weeks ago looking for a tank, yes I am a noobie ,this fourm turned me on to an E-Leaf M,which i purchased, and believe me I loved it,but ,I kept looking, and low and behold the perfect tank was introduced to me,there is no other tank in my opinion that can compare to the " Kayfun". I got mine on E-bay,A clone,do not let that deter you, without a doubt ,you have never experienced a better tank, and there are a more then one model,I got Kayfun lite, all ..... about no afc,all BS,it is great,I bought two.Just saying.
