I'm very very new to vaping, about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm using a Vision Spinner II with EVOD tanks with single coils. I'm looking to get some EVOD tanks with dual coils. After trying several different brands looking for flavors I like I found Space Jam Starship 1. For those who haven't tried it here is the description from their website. It's a vanilla custard on the inhale with kiwi on the exhale (I can't taste the kiwi) but really love the Vanilla Custard I just wished it was way stronger.

Which flavor of NT is the best/strongest Vanilla custard without waiting a long time to steep? Is it CLS, CB, or possibleMe Strawnilla. Will switching to a dual coil tank help with making the juice strongertasting? Please let me know which way to go. Thanks for your help. Oh BTW do the higher Nicoteine juices have better flavors?

Less nicotine generally means a "better" (subjective, some may like the nic flavor) flavor b/c nic can be peppery. NTs must be good, however, cause I have some 18 right now and can't taste the difference. As far as custard I'm not the right one to ask, for some reason I got very little flavor from CLS and Crème Brulee, and to a lesser extent frenilla. Maybe vape tongue/bad tank? But I just got strawnilla and this stuff is amazeballs. If you can ever get ahold of acb, or when it gets released again its to die for :) For a better flavor i'd get a dripper or RBA, but that may be beyond what you want if you're new. While they didn't work for me one bit, I hear other people having success with Nautilus/bvc coils. They're pretty cheap if you shop around (or ill trade ya one for a 15 ml ;) haha)

Hi Sunflake! Welcome to the NuThouse!!
The Space Jam Starship is actually the liquid that lead me here. LOVED the custard part but didn't like the "kiwi" taste. I ordered CLS to mimic the Starship and boy am I ever glad I did. The CLS at NT is not as strong straight out of the bottle like Space Jam is but after about a week, it's better!! I think I was vaping it on a single coil T3S on a Spinner in the beginning. The strawnilla has more of a strawberry taste to it as opposed to a custard taste. The CB also gave me a "custard" flavor in the beginning. All of them develop better flavor, especially the strawnilla and cb if it's allowed to sit for a few weeks. And to be honest, I can't tell the difference in the flavor of anything on a single or dual coil. Hope that helps!

If you like custard you can't go wrong with CLS, I have not tried CB but I am sure someone will be along shortly to speak to that. As for Strawnilla it's a vanilla taste but with strawberries mixed in, I really am thinking for you CLS is the way to go. I have enjoyed mine right out of the mailbox, but it does get better the longer you let it steep so order a little larger than what your first reaction is. I am not a custard vape person but I do like CLS so that should attest to it's awesomeness. :)

Dual coils can't hurt you will vaporize more juice and get a little more vapor, so if you're planning to switch anyway go for it. Nicotine will not affect the flavor but will give you a different throat hit from my understanding, I wouldn't factor this into getting more flavor just vape whatever your normal mg level is. You will find that the flavor is so off the charts with NT you don't need to change many variables other than which one you choose.

Hope this helps, and pre-welcome to the NT family lots of great folks around here who are always willing to help. :)

Edit: lol Two replies just while I was typing, we love to get in and help. :p

Welcome to the NuThouse! It's hard to say with certainty which one will be your own personal favorite.... But... CLS is out best selling liquid, probably worth a shot. I personally prefer CB. katy would probably tell you to go the Strawnilla route. You really can't go wrong with any of them, honestly...

I started with a Spinner and Kanger T3 tanks... Good rigs, I still recommend them frequently.

Tapping on ye olde phone so I will be short... But, you'll get a ton of opinions for sure (saw good advice here already!)

So many of the NT flavors are very, very good. Having said that....your so new to quitting that your taste buds haven't even come close to being "healed". Everyone is different but you're probably a good 5-6 weeks away from getting the full flavor from any juice you vape. So keep that in mind. What you like right now, there's a very good chance you won't be all that thrilled with in a few weeks.

CLS is a great choice and it mixes well with just about any other juice. It can take a mediocre juice and make it a decent vape and it's really good as a stand alone. Mixing CLS and CB @ 50/50(Naki's Blend) is insanely delicious.

Good luck with your choices and vape on!

As others have said, your tastebuds will change a lot in the next several weeks.

CLS for me needed a solid steep of about 6 weeks before it hit for me. I prefer CB but both are worth a try.

One thing to keep in mind that flavor delivery is contingent on your rig. I have very insensitive tastebuds for reasons unrelated to having been a smoker. I did not really start to get the flavor I craved from vaping until I got a Nautilus (which has replaceable coil packs) then moved into rebuildables not long after that. The Nauty has a full sized and mini version and does a good job with flavor delivery compared to most prefab tanks/clearos.

I'm pretty new and have tried quite a few juices from Nicoticket. Have you ruled out Grandma's Cinnamon Danish? That stuff is AMAZING, very dessert like. You taste a mild cinnamon on inhale, and the dough and cream cheese icing on exhale. Divine. Love it straight from the mailbox if you like something sweet. The only issues you might have is the steeping process with the other custard flavors, those have to steep. Crème Brulee was good fresh, too, but I bet 100 dollars it's going to be even better after a 6 week steep.

Instant gratification= GCD. Can't go wrong.

Good luck,
Dani

I will try to answer all your questions as best as I can.

Yes, you will get better flavor with dual coils. Be sure you turn down the wattage all the way on a new coil pack for 5 or 6 pulls before starting to increase it. This lets the coil "break in" without scorching it. Also, if it is possible to let a new coil sit in the tank with e-liquid overnight it will yield better results.

CLS has the strongest true custard flavor of any I have tried to date. CB is close behind it. My personal opinion is that you won't get the best custard flavor from CLS or CB right out of the mail. 2 weeks steep though and you will be enjoying it very much. Strawnilla is strong enough on the strawberry that you don't get as much custard flavor. It is very good, but you may not be looking for that much strawberry. Wakonda, although coffee, also has custard notes to it. This one tastes pretty good fresh out of the mail. Strawnilla and Wakonda are lighter on the custard flavor.

Even though CLS and CB may need a steep, if you can be patient with it and let it steep 2 weeks it will be worth the wait. If you like it, order more so by the time you finish the first bottle the new one will have 2 weeks steep on it.

Welcome to the family Sunflake! :D

BTW Kent Brooks is the owner of Niciticket and we also call him Clark. ;) And yes, I vote for CLS for a good custard vape though I also agree that your taste buds are still recovering so keep that in mind...also GCD is amazing, it is my ADV (all day vape) but maybe that isn't in your interest right now.

Your gear sounds good. The only thing to think about is if you are now using Kanger PT heads DO NOT throw them away. Send them to me and I'll rebuild them for you and the flavor difference will blow you away! :thumb:

I went to my B&M when I first started vaping, before finding NT. I flavor tested about 30 juices, till I really fell in love with the Spacejam starship1...

...Then I got some NT... vaped some of the fruity flavors first, along with the virus...Then, I tried CLS and CB... wow! amazing stuff... They get better with age too...

I revisted the Starship1, once since getting NT...I got sick of that flavor...although interesting, I know what you mean about the kiwi...it is sorta unbalanced, IMO... or my tastebuds changed... either way, can't go wrong with any of the NT juices, but yes, some of them aren't as good right away and need a week or two to settle... Id say, get some wakonda and CB/CLS...vape the wakonda right away, while letting the CLS steep...

Welcome, btw.

I still like Space Jam's Omega(only because I can't get Kent to come up with a peach cobbler juice! Lol), the Astro and Galactica. But, I'm with you...I could never go back to Starship after having CLS. no how, no way!! It's like night and day!

About the evod/coils...

I haven't tried the dual coil ones. But the evod single coils are the same as the protank ones...so if I were you, Id take megan up on that offer...to send her your old ones and get new, rebuilt ones, exchanged? Yes... I think so, thats awesome...

I had one evod tank when i first started. I recently rebuilt the coils to give to a friend, and they work so much better...

29! Do you think 28 would work? Building coils with such thin kanthal makes me want to pull my hair out. :-x

If you are rebuilding PT heads you want the room the smaller gauge gives you plus the coil heats up so much faster at 29 than 28.

If you are using the coil for the Reo, 28 would be fine just keep your ohms lower than 1 and it won't take forever for the coil to heat up. ;)
