Need some battery info

I just got a Halo triton kit 2 weeks ago. I had been using a V2 and Blu that I had gotten form a local convenience store. I like them but they weren't enough so I got the Halo triton. I like the triton but it is too big. Is there a name for the different types of batteries. I know there are different thread types but that doesn't tell me the size of a battery. I want the smaller batteries that are closer to the size of a real cigarette verses batteries like the triton that are about the size of a cigar. I order the Halo g6 batteries and I should have them in a couple of days. I ordered some of their mini tanks but they are disposable. I want to look into some bottom coil systems, but I want them to fit my g6 batteries, I just cant tell from pictures and discriptions if they are going to be the same width as my batteries.

Please help! I am going crazy trying to figure this out. I was looking at the Mini Protank 2, but I just cant tell if its the same size. I don't mind having to buy an adapter, I just don't want to buy a fat tank, that would be to big for my batteries.

Are you talking about a eGo Battery? I have a eGo C-Twist at the widest part is a half inch at the base.

510 thread. The 510 is the most basic. It's a threading that most things fit onto. It's usually a smaller in diameter type of battery.

eGo thread. This is like a hybrid of the 510. It's got the 510 inside, but someone got the idea to put an extra set of threads on the outer part, so you can screw things onto it called "CONES" and these things made the whole design more streamlined and sleek.

808 thread. Popular with the folks who began vaping with certain big name brands, the brands that give you the prefilled cartos.

The numbers generally associated with rechargeable batteries tell you what you need to know.

The type (18650, 14400, etc.), describes the form factor. For an 18650, the first two numbers (18) are the diameter (18mm). The last three are the length (650mm).

Then there is the voltage, it's self explanatory.

The mah (milliamp/hour) rating indicates the storage capacity of the battery, or how much energy it can hold. It is your best indication of how long the battery will last as opposed to other batteries' mah rating. A 1300mah battery should last twice as long as a 650mah battery.

The width of an Ego battery is about 14 mm. Larger mah Egos are longer. The cig sized that you're looking for are 9.2 mm wide.
Most clearo come in the "Mini size" which means they're the same width as an eGo= 14 mm OR the larger size for the larger Mods. The only clearos that I know are the same width as the cig sized (9.2 mm) are the Vision Nano clearos.

OK. So if it says fits most 510 models than that should be the more cigarette like battery and if it says the ego thread that is like my Halo Triton. I can put V2 carts on it and the cone to make it look normal. And I'm assuming the 808 is more like a cigarette?

I'm new here and trying to respond to individual answers. I think I'm doing this correct now. The halo G6 mini tanks fit the small battery, but they are disposable. You cant change the coils. I would like to find a Bottom Coil tank that is going to fit on the smaller battery. I want to feel like I am smoking a cigarette and not a cigar

Okay, there is an awful lot here. For starters, if you absolutely have to have the "cig-a-like" size batteries, then you are going to have real trouble finding bottom coil tanks that don't look out of place on them, ask me how I know ... ... The other issue is going to be battery life, the small batteries you want will not last long enough to vape a full tank of juice, you will need to carry spares and maybe even a Personal Charging Case to get you through the day. You should probably look for an "XL" length cig-a-like as it will offer the best battery life, but it will be very long, that's how they squeeze in the extra life without making it really fat. I would HIGHLY recommend going with a battery that is 510 threaded, so that if you do decide to upgrade, any tanks you buy now will carry over. The mini Protank 2 is a 510 threaded tank, and as it's made of glass, not only will it be thicker than your batteries, it will make them "top heavy" when you attach it.

My best recommendation would be to go with 510 threaded eGo style batteries. I know that is not what you were asking about, but overall, in the long run it is very likely money better spent. I went through 6 or so cig-a-like kits before making the switch, and wish I had not waited so long (it gets expensive quick that way). Ultimately, it doesn't really matter as long as whatever you end up with works for you. Just my $0.02 on the subject, YMMV!

I don't mind having to recharge several times a day. I already have to do that with the Triton and its a bigger battery. I sit at a desk all day. I can charge as much as my little soot covered heart wants. So for me not a big deal. I need to feel like I'm smoking a cigarette. Maybe later on down the road I wont care, but for now I really want to quit smoking.

Just FYI ... automatic batteries tend to die and become unusable quicker than manual batteries. Mostly because the activators get gunked up and can't be cleaned.

Thank you Masterchief68. In that case any eGo PV (JoyeTech, Kanger, Twist, Spinner, Kgo, etc) would be perfect for a Mini ProTank.

It's all good The only same width clearo I know of for the cig sized is the Vision Nano and they are top coil and not rebuildable.

For some reason I cant click on the links that get posted. So I went to the Joyetech site and the eRoll doesn't look like it has a tank for it. The G6 mini tanks might be fine. I will find out probably tomorrow how they are. I just really want to try the bottom coil tanks to see if I get a less burned taste from them. I definitely prefer the tanks to the carts

I figured that but even if I have to replace batteries every couple of months, its still cheaper than smoking and even if it isn't, its still better than smoking. Right?

I'm pretty sure halo sells halo mini tanks but as I understand it the E-smart clearos from Vapor Kings work on them, not sure if you have the manual or automatic? Also whether you have th mini or standard? 78mm vs 65mm?

And yes, try the joyetech eRoll if you like cig a likes. It is really great, convenient and classy looking stuff too.
