I live out in the boonies with no broadband except for HughesNet satellite that restricts me to 300MB per day of download, so I still have my AOL dialup account as a backup.
There is broadband cable all around where I live, except for on my street.

I am in the boonies also. I use a Sprint air card. AT&T also offers one. Sprint's is the same price as HughesNet and usually works pretty good! Prez said on Letterman last night that one of the infrastructure plans is to increase broadband access.....so we have HOPE!
