I have a few of the Jwraps and will offer my opinions. As crimson said, the different materials they offer make a difference...I have a couple carbon fiber wraps as well and I could not get a single teardrop to show thru. I have some clear wraps that you can see the drops, hence it's clear but will not adhere into the drop. I have a black ostrich and it seems to be thinner material and with the hair dryer and then constantly mashing the wrap during the day, I would say 90% of the design is visible. I also have the snakeskin which is very thick and Jwraps directions say to use a hair dryer to make sure the seam is properly sealed. There is another vendor for wraps but cannot remember the name that it appears that their wraps are much easier to get into the drops and design. I would suggest to continue with the hair dryer and constantly mashing with your fingers as you are vaping to help the adhesion process!! Not much help but all I have to offer!

It's definitely going to depend on the type of vinyl the wrap is made from. I use Oracal 631 (it's an indoor/outdoor vinyl, very common, used for car decals and such) and all applying heat does is lift it back up from the design. I have a full, not a mini, so I just use a pencil eraser to smooth it down into the grooves and push the air along them, then put a tiny pinprick at one end (doesn't show later) for the air to escape. Thinner vinyls that shrink with heat will form more easily. Sorry I'm not more help. :)
