I know I could post this is other forums & threads but I have found that the Pay It Forward group is one of the most helpful & thoughtful group of people around... so I came to you guys 1st.

ok... this is a multi part question...

Where do I get it, what would I need & is this a good idea?

I use a KR808D-1 e-cig with cartomizers... I was wondering if I should get an atty & cart to have here to test juices verses filling a blank carto? Does the atty set up use less of the juices to test flavors or does it use about the same amt of juice? Would the atty set up be easier to clean out than a carto?

Any advice or tips would be helpful & appreciated too!

I thank you in-advance for the help!

Well, I recently bought a 901 atty to use on my KR808. Have been dripping a few drops into it to test flavors before I fill an atty. Maybe that might be a viable solution?

As for cleaning, I've just blown the atty out for most flavors. The really strong ones seem to get stuck, though, so I've resorted to using some vodka to rinse them out.

Can I ask a question on carto cleaning - is there anything different I need to do? With an atty it is just a nice soak in hot water. Do I have to take a carto apart or is cleaning it just as easy?

I use attys and cartos. My attys I only use from dripping and once a week I soak them in hot water as so far that seems to keep them working well. I haven't bumped up to soaking them in diet coke or vodka yet (they are only about 3 week sold) but next week I will probably do one of those treatments.

Well, for my cartos, I pull of the tops (and that little plastic washer inside for those cartos that have them) and then boil them out. I typically boil them for 15 minutes, rinse, blow them out, boil, rinse, and blow them out once more. Then I soak them in hot water with a splash of vodka to get rid of any residual smell. When I clean cartos, I generally do around 15-20 at once so I can get the biggest bang for my buck.

I just put the little caps and such in a bowl in some hot water. Rinse them after I do the carto rinses and replace the hot water.

I do tend to use a splash of vodka in the final soak but that's just because I want them to be completely scent-free so I can use them with whatever flavor the next time.

Only if you oven dry them, instead of just rice -- the plastic or rubber mouthpiece end caps don't like oven temps, so have to be popped off. (I like oven drying at 250 -- does the job, reasonably quickly; higher temps can mess up the plastic on the outside of the carto, cause shrinkage.)

That sounds like a very good idea for tasting. Just so you know atties hold flavor to, but it sounds a lot easier than filling a cortomizer.
Good luck with it.

Only thing with dripping onto a 901 atty is that the juice does tend to taste different in the carto. Keep that in mind when you try them out.

Does using a 901 atty on the KR808 battery need an adapter?

I use a drip tip and atty to try juices. The attys can easily be rinsed out if the flavor is horrible. Where as puttung a new juice into a carto youre out a lot of juice and a ruined carto if you end up not liking the juice in your carto. I use cartos half the time and drip the rest. I haven't had any luck at cleaning cartos so I use one for 2-3 days top and toss. When I have tried washing I cannot seem to get the wetness out and get no vapor. Its easier to just budget a new one every other day.

No adapter needed. Vape away. This is what I do. I love using a carto most of the time, (808) but I use a 901 atty to test flavors so I don't ruin a carto with something I don't like. A quickvodka rinse will take MOST flavors out of an atty. Some flavors are stubborn, tho.

I've had the same question. Would a drip tip be better for sampling flavors? Would that work better than filling a cart each time?

Most definitely.... No questions asked... that is how I do it now... so much easier, and it only takes a few drops of liquid!
