Need some pre-punched cartos - please help

Me and my wife have been using a Pyrex tank from Valley View for over a year. Lately we've both been having tons of problems with pre-punched Boge cartos (standard size). Seems that out of a box of 5, we'll usually only have 1 that lasts for more than a day or two. The problem is always after a day or two of use, they cease to wick properly, resulting in nasty burnt tasting vape. It's so annoying to have to change the carto every other day.

I have no idea why the Boge's are doing this now. We didn't use to have this problem (well every now and then, but not as frequent as now). It's like the Boge filler is to tight. But that surely isn't the case because they work fine for a day or two. But then after a day or two, they go dry- you can take the drop tip off and literally see the filler is completely dry. It really sucks to buy 40 cartos, and then go thru all of them in a couple weeks.

Please someone recommend me a new carto. I looked at the Smoktechs- I don't think those will work with this tank because of the flange on the end. Although it may work, I just don't know

I prefer Platinum Punch V2, the slotted are nice too.

If you check the Carto section it sounds like they had a bad run of Fusions, but they made it right for anyone that seemed to have a problem.

A flanged carto will work just fine with a VVV tank. I used flanged ones with mine all the time. I'm not a big fan of Smoktech cartos, but they will fit fine in your tank.

Although you've been burned (literally!) with Boges, I'd suggest the slotted Boges. They have been outstanding performers for me. They are unflanged and come in LR or SR in regular and XL lengths:

Certainly Ikenvape are well worth a a try as well, but the slotted Boges are readily available.

On the other hand, have you thought of a carto size RBA?

I had bought about 100 dollars worth from them when their website went back up a couple months ago. I swore Ikenvape off because of bad carto's. They should have let folks like me know they had a problem......by email or something. (like a recall notice or something)

Anyway, thats how you loose buisness.

I'll keep that in mind. Yesterday I bought 2 boxes of the slotted Boge's. If I don't have better luck with those, I'll heed your advice

I really like the single-coil 3.2 ohm Smoktech carts I get from IBTanked. I use a carto punch to enlarge the pre-done holes (and make a couple more small holes). It helps the wicking of the thick VG juice. Hope it works for you guys!

The slotted carto's arrived yesterday... Perfect timing as the carto I was using had gotten to that non-wicking state after only 2 days of use- I have now had 5 cartos go bad after only 2 days, and my wife has had 4 go bad after 2 days of use. So I loaded up a new slotted carto immediately. I'll post back when this one goes bad. Will be interesting to see how this holds up.

I like the Ikenvape Platinum Punch V2 which has larger holes than the regular ones. They work the best for the juice I use and seem to last longer than Smok or Boge cartos. The Ikenvape Platinum S Series are the slotted ones. They work well for darker, thicker juice. I can get about a day or two out of the Smok or Boge cartos. The Ikenvape Platinum Punch V2 will last me 5 - 7 days or more using the same juice.

In the past the email notification worked well. Last 2 times it didn't work for me and it was not in my spam folder. The best thing you can do is subscribe to Ikenvape on twitter. Last 2 times he posted there when he had stock for his cartos. Hope that helps you get some cartos next time.

By the way, the Platinum Punch V2 are better than the slotted in my opinion. I have had a few slotted ones mess up on me or didn't work well from the start. Why mess with the new cartos when the older ones have a good track record of performance.

Reporting back

My first one I put in Monday evening. It ran flawlessly. By Saturday, the flavor of my vape had become muted- I expect this with any carto around 4-5 days (some rarely make it to 7+ days), so this was about par for any decent carto. Saturday evening I loaded up a new one. This morning, it started not wicking properly. So that's 2 days, which is what was happening with my other Boge cartos. My wife also loaded one up on Friday, and by yesterday it wasn't wicking properly.

So far it's not looking promising for the Boge slotted cartos- it seems they are acting exactly as the other pre-punched cartos have. I purchased 10 of these. We have now gone thru 4 with only 1 of them giving a good 5 day run.

The juice we are running isn't really a thick juice- I use KVS OMFG and my wife uses KVS Caramel.

quick question for anyone, the Ikenvapes 510 cartos seem to have odd measurements? which ones will fit in a UDCT or SMOK DCT that normally takes 45mm cartos?
