Need some tank suggestions.

Hello all.

I've really been out of the loop for awhile now, busy with life and such. I'm looking for a new tank, and there is so much new stuff out there that I'm kind of lost. I've been using the Vivi Nova, and MT3s for so long that I'm kind of ready for a change. I'm looking for something similar to those in construction though. I'd prefer (though don't require) eGo type threading, and removable drip tip. I have no idea what the whole sub-ohm movement is about, and really don't want to take the time to learn, I also am not really looking to build anything (heads, coils, etc.). I don't have any crazy fancy devices either. I use VAMO type mods, and eGo style for travel. If you all could throw some suggestions at me I'd be grateful.

Aspire Nautilus Mini. Right now the Aspire Nautilus tanks are the best with the Bottom Vertical Coils (BVC). You can also get BVC for the standard Aspire tanks like the ET-S.

I'll echo Shootist's suggestion.
So you know what you're looking for there's the regular BVC coils for the Nautilus and Nautilus Mini. These won't fit the other Aspire tanks

Now, Aspire has re-designed the old BDC coils into a BVC type (yeah, I'm confused too.) These BDC/BVC are for the other Aspire tanks but, not the Nautiluses.

Most sites that have them will make mention that they are either the Nautilus BVC or the other BVC. Both work great.

Kanger Aerotank mini is up there near the top. Aerotank V2 if you want a bigger can. Been running them on my Kanger VV ego style batteries as well as a MVP 2 and they're great.

But Aspire seems to have started a revolution in coil heads with the new bvc coils, so that's definitely worth a look.

I haven't tried the Nautilus, but I love my Protanks. The price is a lot lower for the tank and the replacement heads, if that is of concern to you.

my personal preference is the protank 3. I have the minis, but I really like the bigger one better.

I need to make a vote for my favorite, the Anyvape Davide (run as a single coil, the new ones can be used dual or single) and also for the mini protank 2. The full sized protanks pretty much require an adjustable airflow base to be good. I'm about to try a Nautilus (it's at the post office now) and they are reported to be good in either size if you use the bvc coils, not the bdc. I'm not a fan of dual coils (protank 3, aerotank) since they use a lot more liquid and battery charge for little or no improvement in taste.

I agree, can't beat the Aerotanks. The V2 and the mini have the air controller 3, and never leak or gurgle. I think they outperform Nautilus, and they cost less- even the coils are less.

Agreed, and I've not had a leak or gurgling with these tanks. You running the v1 or v2 dual coils? I dropped a 2.0u v1 dual coil in my AeroTank V2 and it vapes like a champ around 4.4V. v1 coils are cheaper but they're hard to find. Been reading that the v2 dual coils are much more difficult to re-wick/coil.

I've been using the 2.0 dual enclosed Kanger Coils, and I love them. They last longer than the open dual coil design. My sweet spot is about 4.3V, but they'll easily handle 5V. Try Sweet-Vapes for hard to find coils, and hardware both new and old. The prices are great, too. I'm not into their ejuices, but some people are. Origin Vapes has good prices on hardware, but not a good coil selection. Sweet-Vapes has the v1 coils

I use a regular size protank also (all 4 of the protanks1s I had broke but fortunately vapemail from china arrived just for the 4th broke and I got a protank2) but I use them on miniprotank bases (with an extra silicone cap to seal the space)

I'm 2 weeks into vaping and only have Kanger Aerotanks. They take the Kanger v1 & v2 dual coils. I can't compare them to single coils as I've not vaped on them. I've read posts where folks prefer single coils over duals. They consume juice faster. That's the extent of my knowledge on the differences.

From What I understand op is that dual coils produce more flavor and vapor than single coil clearos. I would recommend the aspire Vivi nova bdc, it's relatively cheap and it works well, it's a 510 so you would need a beauty ring for it to be flush with an ego, but it's worth it

I'm still a noob I guess since I've only been doing this about 1.5years and a clearomizer for about 1 year.
I get nice flavor and clouds from my Aerotank mini V2 with the airflow controller. Juice lasting longer also

Without getting too much into the dual vs single and horizontal vs vertical (vs some rebuilders going 45degrees)...
I'll say that aspire had some serious quality control problems with their BDC coils. Lots of dry hits, constant fiddling trying to get better wicking action even at low wattages etc.. When wicking was good, it was good, but enough problem time to be frustrating for sure. I did not have those issues with the kanger heads; ended up hating my nautilus's and loving my aerotank. Since then I've moved on to rebuildables. I did pick up some of the newer nautilus BVC's and the wife gives them a work out. The wicking issue appears resolved. Are they vaping as well as the rebuildable...no. But a good low maintenance vape none the less. I don't think your going to find much of a vape quality difference between the aspire naut BVC and an kanger aerotank.

Carto's are not so popular but their users adore them. Seem to be somewhere between the clearo and rebuildable in vape quality from what I can tell but perhaps the clearos have caught up.
