need some tips on reomizer 2.0

hi there
just need some tips on the reomizer2.0. I currently have a reo mini and using 28g wire and silica wick. right now i am wrapping them at 0.8 ohms with 4 wraps around the silica wick. when i check my voltage i am only getting 3.4 volts on a fresh battery. not sure why i am not getting 3.7 or more on a fresh battery with the reomizer on it, but with a different atty it will show 3.8 on the same battery.
so what should i do if i want a warmer vape?? should i wrap it differently?? I've tried a micro coil but the cotton i got for a wick just keeps getting burnt...... any help or suggestions would be great!

What's the starting voltage of the battery, that's a big drop? Does this Reo have silver or gold colored spring and firing pin?

reo mini is your power source and the reomizer 2 is your atomizer, you are checking the output voltage of the reo mini (battery sag/voltage drop) with an inline meter or calibrated MM on the atomizer terminals assume? and other atomizers with the exact same coil build are getting more power than the reomizer 2? (my Lp grand drops to 3.4 on fresh 4.1battery with a 0.3ohm coil =about the middle range of all my mechs and still love it )

The lower the ohms the bigger the voltage drop in the mod and inside the battery itself.

its one of the older rep mini 2.1 i got from 2 years ago. it has the silver spring.

@diamondlou i am so confused with what your talking about....i mean like when i have the reomizer on the reo i have a voltage meter on while i have the reomizer as well it will tell me 3.4v. then when i screw in a different atty it will tell me 3.8v.

so is there a way i can get a warmer vape? different wire or different method of wrapping my coil??? what should i do?????
i love how it vapes now but would just like a warmer vape if possible.

batteries sag more at lower ohm builds, if the other atomizer builds (that get 3.8) are above 0.8 that would be logical and no problem. Warmer vape comes from lower ohm builds / small intake holes. I pretty much use 26 and 24ga wire. Experiment with lower builds (but stay safe in your batterys amp range) and try getting microcoil wicking right (burning means too much cotton) as it is pretty much the bread n butter for flavor.

Also you need to keep the contacts clean, the older contacts can oxidize and rob you of voltage. Do you have a picture of your coil, closer to the air hole and higher will help increase throat hit

i don't have a picture. but what do you mean by contacts? the part where the button touches the battery? or where the wires go through the screw post???
i will try closer to the hole and higher and see how that works out. ill also try less cotton to see if that helps with the burning

By contacts he means where the firing pin meets the battery and the spring meets the battery. If you haven't done so in awhile, take a nail file and file the firing pin (to remove oxidation) then apply a dab of Noalox to the tip of the firing pin. It will work wonders.

but i am still getting the same problem with the cotton I'm using. i have tried using less but it still just burns.... maybe I'm using the wrong kind of cotton.
Papa_Lazarou ya I'm from vancouver. do you know where i can get some of the right cotton in town?? right now i have some 100% organic cotton from target. but i don't think it is the right kind.

That cotton should be fine ,sounds like your using too much or jamming it in the coil too hard. Look closely at some pictures pay attention to the shoulders, where the cotton comes out of the coils on each end.

When you burn cotton, it's because it go dry. Either you're not squonking enough or you have too much cotton in the coil which keeps it from wicking juice inside the coil.

Pull the drip tip and watch when you squonk, the juice should rise and coat the coil and wick. When you wick the cotton should be able to slide back forth in the coil.

All of that said, I'm bit absentminded and forget to squonk so I was always burning my cotton. I run ceramic readyXwick as my wicking, because it can take being dry burned.

The cotton should be fine. If you wanted to work with cotton pads (as opposed to balls), check out Shiseido pads at London Drugs or Sephora.

Shiseido Facial Cotton - London Drugs

They help standardize making wicks. Here's a link to a video by super_X_drifter explaining how to prep and install them (he uses Koh Gen Do pads, which work exactly the same way as the Shiseido, but good luck getting the KGD in town)......

Cool. You prolly won't find the KGD in town, but the Shiseido will work fine.

ya i checked the one at richmond centre and they didn't carry it. but after watching the video link you suggested i got the cotton burning problem solved now. so i think ill be ok for now. thanks again for the video link. i guess i was using too much cotton for my wick.

i missed the game but saw the high lights and 3-0 is great. we are doing really well so far
