Ok, so here is my questions. I am expecting a Big Chuck soon (although not soon enough.... damn wait is killing me!) with a 510 connector. I have read some rave reviews of cartos and I might want to give them a try but I'm not sure if they will have the oomph I want. I only want to use 3.7 volts, at least for the time being. Is this going to give me the vapor and throat hit I need? Also, how long do cartos last? I've seen 5 packs for less than the cost of 1 510 atty, so I'd imagine not terribly long but I'm looking for an average lifespan here. Also how much heavy vaping time do you get out of one full carto? I am kind of a chain smoker, especially at home. Thanks in advance for the advice guys.

I just started using cartos on Monday.
I've been puffing the same carto @ 3.7 and today is wednesday.

I don't vape like a mad woman though. Probably a few puffs every 15 - 20 minutes during the day and when I get home every couple of hours.

Hope that helps, I'm sure others have something else to say.

I just started using them as well .. with my big Chuck @ 3.7v ... lol can't say how long one carto will last .. I keep swapping out flavors :p but I can say I love them !!! So far all mine have come from V4L ..........

Just as a side note here, prior to getting "chucked" .... I had been doing 5V exclusively, and I'm a heavy vaporer (is that a word?) .... and the 3.7v big chuck is keeping me very happy !!!

I thought the Little Chuck was for 3.7 volts and the Big Chuck was for 6.0 volts. Am I confused.

The Big Chuck can go either way ... depending on the batteries you use .. 3.7v or 6v ........ :) If you check the stickied Battery thread .. it tells you which ones you need.

It's all in the batteries you choose. I am going with an 18650 3.7 volt battery. I'm a TH masochist I think, but I don't want to give up battery life with 6v (nor do I want to pop attys!)

Is there a difference between VFL and KR-808 cartos? Also how about vapor and Throat Hit? I'm actually a bit more concerned about that than the length of time between refills. How long before they burn out? Are we talking a month like a 510 atty or a few days?

I think there is more throat hit on the carto. But that's just me.

I ordered the KR-808's from midwestvapor.

However, I just blew one on about 2 hits from 6v. I just filled it too =_=. Must have been a weak carto since the one I've been using since Monday survived both 3.7 and 6. Hrmm

What kind of average lifespan are you getting out of them. I need this to pass the "wife test" and it won't unless it is economical. lol

The vapor on the cartomizers is acceptable on the Chuck at 3.7v and it's MUCH better than what you get using the 510 batteries. The throat hit is about the same, not much more, not much less.

I bought a 510/KR808D-1 adapter and some blank cartomizers and I won't use them at all on my 510 batteries, but I like them okay on the Chuck. I will tell you that the vapor is much better at 6v though, and the flavor seems to come though a little more too, but you have to take such small drags or you get smacked in the face.

I like big drags, so I stick with the 3.7v on my Chuck at all times.

awesome. Now if you can tell me how long a carto lasts before it burns out I'll have all the info I need.

My results are a little mixed. I like them because they are handy and I have yet to burn one out at 3.7V. To me the throat hit is better than a regular 510 and I drip mostly with a T-Tip so I am used to a really good throat hit.

I love new cartomizers that are prefilled but I have yet to really get the hang of refilling them and I never get great vapor on refills but the TH is good.

The trick is to learn to refill them, spin them and let them sit for a time.

I would second getting a pack of 5 and trying them out before you make a large investment. I keep a couple of 5 packs around for emergencies. I vape around 6-8ml a day easily and a new carto lasts me half a day or better. I once went a week on 5 because the weather interrupted my juice supply.

I just did my own test with the KR808D-1 cartos on my < 3.7v PV (Tornado) and 5v PT (waiting on my Chucks which should be here by weeks end), I am new so some if my results are probably due to user error.

My results were not impressing me. I have been using a 510 for about 4 weeks and the vapor production and TH are not even close from the cartos. I am hoping that will improve with my Chucks since they do last a lot longer than the standard 510 carts although I am not expecting much. I am getting much more vapor and TH from my Tornado with 510 than the cartos on my 5v PT.

I dont like them at 3.7v at all/ Id rather use a 510.

At 6v they are heaven.

They will last from 7-10 days usually before throwing away. Some may last longer, some shorter..

Less expensive to use then reg attys imo but each has its' place. you cant beat a good 510 imo/.

Where are you getting your prefilled cartos from? I have heard that v4l is good, but am not sure if it is all hype or not. I picked up some from vaporking (since I ordered my adapter and blanks from them) and was not impressed at all.

Sorry, haven't used one long enough to find out.
So far I've only experimented with them to see if I can make use of them.

I like the 510 better at 3.7v as well.

That is why I have come to the conclusion that cartomizers definitely have a place in my arsenal, and that is basically when I am going to be going on vacation and I don't want to pack a lot of juice and drip and/or refill cartridges all the time, and when I want my battery to last all day long.

Just grab the chuck and few cartomizers and head out for the day.
:)

But other than that I don't use the cartomizers.
They mostly just sit here waiting for me to go on vacation.

At home and at work I drip using my 510 on my Chuck.
When out and about I fill up a cartridge before leaving and take two 510 batteries.
