I agree, completely, with STILLSMOK9. I have a protege that was sent to me when I was a
mod, here, and it's had consistent issues with the switch. It works but it's pretty dodgy and, from time to time, takes more than a little coaxing to get to work.
I also had to take it apart and put a thin bit of plastic between the cap on the switch and the tactile button in order for the switch to work at all. The replacements are also dodgy...very hit and miss.
The Icon is a decent
mod but with the way it's made, it pushes in the bottom of the battery after a short amount of use and this can pose problems with the switch making proper contact. The switch also gets loose very easily and is very sensitive to the lock knob not being in the fully open position. It's a far sight better than the protege but it still has its issues.
I have no experience with the v3 so I can't talk about that one but the PS mods I've used aren't perfect. GOOD but not perfect.
