Just IMO I think we should not call any of these e-cigarettes. We are not striking a match lighting a lighter or even heating a stove burner to light anything in this hobby. Yeah we inhale vapor (not smoke I may add). So why do we call them e-ciggs. It's a term to add to the fuel for the wrong corporations and lobbyists trying to link it to smoking a cigarette. Just wondered what your take is and if I'm off let me know. Like I said its just my opinion.

I agree. Someone posted a similar thread a while ago. I prefer to call mines a PV because that's what it really is. I think a lot of it has to deal with ignorance. I know other vapors but most of them use some sort of cigalike so when I say PV to a smoker or a nonsmoker they are totally mystified. I get the same reaction when I say I'm going to go vape. Drives me nuts!

I agree with your point on the negative implication the words electronic cigarettes have...most people don't understand how there is no smoke and its not a cigarette really...BUT I can understand how it started with that terminolgy since most originals were white with a brown filter appearance of an analog real cigarette...come up with a new word for ECigs and maybe it will catch on..

I also agree, I guess it's more of a marketing scheme to attract analog smokers, i call it a PV.
