My wife can't believe that I haven't had a cigarette in over 4 days and is ready to try vaping herself. She has tried a few of the flavors from BLU and "smoking vapor" but they are all too harsh tasting for her. She currently smokes Marlboro Ultra Lights. There are no good vape shops near me so any suggestions will make this experience better for her.

She may not need to go that way. The harshness may just be the quality of the equipment and juice.

Or you can do what I do and get flavorless and just add a touch of some flavoring to it. Or use as is- it has a light sweet vanilly taste to it.

Keep in mind, taste buds will change as the tabacco wears off, and flavors change with time.

Sure, if some e-liquids are too strong for her why can't you just dilute them with unflavored e-liquid, for instance 24 mg from WizardLabs?
I do this all the time as I like to have just a hint of flavor not the strong flavor. The good thing about vaping is that everything is under your control, both nicotine concentration and flavor concentration.

Many people cough a lot when they try their first e-cigarettes. The vapor is different from cigarette smoke, and like when we first tried cigarettes, it takes a little while for our bodies to get used to vaping.

Having something to drink while vaping is a good idea and will help the initial dry throat and coughing. Smaller, gentler, and less deep inhalations will work, too. Not sure how she inhales her cigarette, but with vaping it is recommended to suck the vapor into the mouth as if you are sucking on a milkshake, not directly into the lungs. Then she can either inhale into the lungs, or exhale through both the mouth and nose. (Exhaling some vapor through the nose helps you "taste" the flavor in vapor.)

The molecules in vapor are a different size than the molecules in smoke. Most of the nicotine in vapor will be absorbed in the mouth and throat, very little in the lungs. So from a nicotine absorbtion perspective, it is not neccessary to inhale vapor to get your nicotine delivery.

Over my 8 months of vaping, I have found that I prefer a "cooler vape". My juice delivery devices (cartomizer, cartotanks, etc) use a standard resistance heating coil (3.0 ohm), which do not create what I experience as a harsh vapor like the low resistance (1.5 - 2.0 ohm resistance) cartomizers make. So your wife might need to try a cartomizer or clearomizer that has a higher ohm rating for a cooler vape.

I was on menthol lights, but as much as 2 PADs. Many have issues with the PG percentage, but I have issues with the nicotine level. At this point, I vape from 0 - 6% nicotine and only go higher when I feel the need for an analog. As far as the type of juice, that is going to depend on your particular tastes, but I prefer the cinnamon and am just branching out on different flavors. The tobacco flavors I reserve for my higher nicotine levels :p Like a punch in the face for wanting an analog.

Flavors were too strong for me also. I dilute with 25% VG from Walmart.

she might need to get away from "cigarette" flavors all together. or it might be that she is trying the same flavor for too long, or has simply not found a flavor that does it for her. I found one vape that just cleared me out without fail for flavor, and that was fruit tsunami from vape dudes. Still vape it 6 mos later when I cant taste anything else. It seems to reset my tastebuds! need to remember to vape this one regularly so I can continue to enjoy all my current vapes! Recently, I was thinking "yikes this bobas bounty does not taste like it normally does!" This is my all day, "rock my world" vape. 1 hr on fruit tsunami then re-trying bobas had me feeling the love. Maybe try a flavor free liquid. Ecopure is good. It is slightly sweet because it is vg. Cignot and Intellicig sells Ecopure. They also offer flavors that are really mild, but not a lot to choose from. I think just tobacco and menthol.

+1 on the unflavored juice, That's my every day vape!

70/30 PG/VG tastes really clean with just a hint of sweetness.

I was also a Marlboro fan, and was kinda disappointed that I couldn't find a tobacco flavor that pleased me, or didn't clog my atomizers.

I buy a liter at a time, and it lasts me more than a year!

I got her a flavorless juice from our local retailer that she seems to like. I made a noob mistake and got some juice down the center hole and it is bubbling on her and she got some in her mouth. She didn't bring the juice with her so I will need to clean it out for her tonight. I have no clue how to clean it, it is a closed system that can't be disassembled. Can someone help?

I would recommend nearly any flavor in a high VG concentration. VG doesn't carry flavor as well as PG, it also has less throat hit. Maybe try some Boba's Bounty from Alien Visions. In my opinion the flavor is mellow but great and its 100% VG. Two other vendors that come to mind are Vape Dudes and Mt Baker Vapor, both of them allow you to customize the PG/VG percentages.
