Please, don't. You're doing everything right--you've come here for help and you're asking the right questions. We were all in the same situation when we started. The only stupid thing is to NOT ask questions. :thumb:
Thank you so much!

So, being the type of person I am, I took the top part of the battery off to take a peek inside to make sure everything was ship shape. I DID know that there were wires attached to the pin, so I was really careful taking it off because I didn't want to break it in case there was a proper fix to it.

Everything seemed to be shape (not that I know what i'm looking for, but there was no debris or anything of the like, everything was connected.) Unfortunately, I did end up snapping the wire attached to the pin, but I'm not too torn up about it as I've ordered a new pen anyway.

Thanks so much for all your advice everyone! I'm definitely going to be revisiting this thread should I have problems with my Spinner III! :)

ummmm....actually...
Mr. Google tells me that you are using an oil - and that it's a topic that is not to be mentioned here at all.
This isn't a forum for that - we use e-liquids as a cigarette smoking replacement.
So....be sure to keep the discussion to just the battery please.

Big no-no.....

;) Oh dear---you should have asked before you attempted that maneuver. Never ends well. But at least you don't have to go back to your store.

Good luck and happy vaping!

...okay, sorry? I was keeping it to the battery, because that was my main issue. Didn't mean to break any rules...

what...is a mosfet lol

It's like a fuse that is put in mods (the battery container / battery part) to help keep the battery safe from going too low, or short circuiting. I have an Eleaf Pico Squeeze which has what is called a switchfet. It is actually just a mosfet used to help keep the firing switch from arcing in an otherwise mechanical mod, so they dub it a switch-fet. Otherwise, I use mostly mechanical mods.

Right. But the infamous eGo MOSFET came with a serious design flaw--any atty in the 0.4-1.2 Ω range would almost certainly fry the MOSFET and thus kill the battery. Don't ask me how I know. Here's a very interesting post from my friend Scottbee that explains it--if anyone is interested:

About Low Resistance and Specific batteries

Hey guys so i recently purchased a new vision spinner to use as it was the only thing in my budget at my local store, and the guy selling it to me told me it was better than the rest of the ones they carried.

Personally I'd stay as far away from a Vision Spinner 2 as I could get.

Sometimes choices are limited due to finances. Other times we just might want something different to try. There's I'm sure a plethora of valid rationale for having to buy and use what is at hand.

Is it harming you to consider even one of these reasons? I doubt it will, or does. Since it does you no harm why then do you bandy out your view in such a way as to present conflict?

Your statement of "Personally, I would ..." is a baited verbal & written hook that presents the accusation that anyone choosing otherwise is in error, needs to justify themselves to you. You may not be aware of such linguistic skills, tactics or uses. You might also be though. Let me point a reference out to you either way. This reference will also explain how I know of such things, having survived years of abuse.

If you're not, I apologize for misreading your statement. If you are though, I would politely ask you refrain from such ploys. There's no reason to debase others except to appease your inflated ego. Sorry, we're all human and therefore all in the same boat. We should at least try acting like our reasoning lets us seem superior to other animals, instead of being the base animal we are.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Since you recently bought from a local brick and mortar vape store, I'd just take it back with my receipt and ask them to fix or replace.

this thread really got away from me lmao

You'll get used to that if you stick around. There will be good advice in there though.

I used Spinners for years. The Spinner II was a decent stick but a bit temperamental. I always charged them twice. The first time it would charge for a few minutes and take a little charge. Then unplug it and plug back in. It would go for a much longer time and get well charged up. Sometimes the light would never turn green. So it wasn't anything you did wrong. Never had a III, I heard they were better than the II.

I think OP blew that option when he took the top off and broke the wire. Maybe it could be put back together enough to hide the evidence though.

*she*

And it could definitely pass if i wanted to return it, but i don't have the receipt or original packaging so it's going to be a hassle and it's not too big of a deal for me now that i've got another on the way thank you though!
