I've had my Aspire Vivi Nova now since November with no complaints at all. Now I bought the Smokeless image line to start with. Now it is designed to use on their 808/ego batteries I was forced to replaced it with a plastic 510 setup. I then simply swapped the bottom with my glass/stainless one and was good to go on my newer 510 threaded equipment.

I'm very happy with Aspire's tanks, so I'm considering the Vivi Nova-S, a 3ml or 3.5ml (???) pyrex tank that looks similar to protank 3 just cost half of it :)

I'd love to get opinions from people who have/had this tank.

Thanks!

Vivi Nova's are top coil. Protank is a bottom coil. It's a matter of taste (top coil generally gives a warmer vape). Nothing wrong with either tank, I have both and both work fine. The Vivi Nova's wicking system can be a PITA because of the long wick and the fact you have to do the "tilting" thing.

This is why I never use the Novas anymore. I just stick with the protanks (which along with the Nautilus is the best tank on the market that isn't an RBA). I get good enough flavor from the protank and don't have to bother with the tilting or the cleaning of the Vivi heads.

EDIT: As for glass vs. plastic, it's glass all day long. I am surprised any vendor bothers with plastic tanks anymore. Pyrex is cheap and can be easily protected by designs like SMOK's Aro. So if your question is whether it's worth buying a new glass Vivi and replacing your plastic ones, the answer is yes, it is definitely worth it.

Good morning :)
I was actually asking about the "Aspire Vivi Nova-S" and not the original Vivi Nova, so it's already comes with a Bottom Dual Coil and a Pyrex tube option :)

Just received my second Aspire Nova-S BDC Pyrex and steel tank about an hour ago in the mail...washed and filled and fired it up. Excellent tank!

Other than wash in hot soapy water (after removing the coil) all I did to it was remove the little silicone airflow restrictor from inside the driptip, and shake out the tank, reinstall the top section, reinstall the coil in the bottom and and fill it up. After giving it a couple minutes to let the coil get saturated I fired it up and hit it a few times and all is good.

Been on the other tank for a week straight and all I ever do is refill it and vape away. I think they worked out the bugs that I've seen posted here on the forum and U-tube. Will be ordering more of these babies for sure.

Ok..been a month now on first set of coils on the two I've been running with absolutely no maintenance except for filling the tanks.

I vape about 12 ml a day between the two tanks, but I only vape unflavored Nic and a homebrew menthol (from crystals) and I guess because of the lack of sugars and other such stuff both coils are still clean and gunk free and going strong.

I guess these ten spare coils I have here are gonna last a while before I mess around with rebuilding a coil ;)
