Over the edge...
I love PG! But PG doesn't like me. Some of the best juices I've tried are high PG percentages like Halo Torque 56 and Truepure and the best flavor I've tried out of dozens...Sweet Caroline from iVape. But the suppliers say they "can't" make it in 100% VG so Bye Bye! It's funny how some suppliers let you chose the PG/VG ratios and some don't. I've been looking for the post someone made about VG juice suppliers. Maybe someone else can post it.

When I first started vaping, PG made me itch like crazy. I had to stop using it. I eventually started to add a little back in and can now vape 100% PG if I choose. It stunk because I loved DK-Tab and had to give it up for awhile. I hope the wife finds what she is looking for. I know of a few vendors that offer VG...freedomsmokeusa.com, avejuice.com, vapureeliquid.com, virginvapor.com (my favorite for 100% VG), and goodprophets.com. I'm sure others are out there but I stick to what seems to be the most popular vendors.

Hi, I can't vape straight PG at all, nor can I vape high nicotine levels because they taste bitter to me. My favorite juice is a 50/50 combo from Ms. T's Bakery Essentials, 0 mg. The one I like is the chocolate brownie. Now, I am only a stress smoker, going cold turkey between episodes of high stress. Right now I don't need the nicotine, so I am fine! Maybe a little later on I'll try to order some higher nicotine levels to see. I started out with White Cloud - no flavor, no vapor. Then Luci. Plain awful. Then V2 - awesome! Then Green Smoke, also awesome - in the 6 mg nicotine levels. Currently, I smoke an eGo Tank with the clearomizers. The atty kept giving me a burnt taste or overheated, I do better with the clearomizers.

Hi Sammy, I don't tolerate PG very well either, though for me it's chest pains and headache. I have gotten a little better over the few months I've been vaping though - initially I couldn't tolerate it at all, but now I can handle 10-20% in juice so long as I don't vape it all day. I did a kind of vaping equivalent of theallergy/sensitivity food challenges I've had to do before, with the purest PG I could find, and mixing it with plain VG (no flavourings or nic). The VG I vape I usually thin with 5-10% of distilled water or alcohol.

Since I'm an Aussie I don't have much to offer in terms of vendors, but wanted to make sure you're aware that often vendors use flavour concentrates that are PG based. I've asked vendors before if they can do 100% VG and they've said yes, but when I've if VG based concentrates are used, they've said no, that they're mostly PG based. When flavourings can commonly be around 20%, it matters!

cheers, and all the best to your girlfriend with it. I hope she can find a solution, like I have.

A couple notes on the flavors that she had the bad reaction to. She tried the Camel, Virginia and 555 in the PG and had reactions to all and stopped after that with 7 other flavors she did not try.

The Camel was the first she tried and it seemed to give her the worst reaction but she also puffed on it for a lot longer before she realized it was making her feel bad. The Virginia she had high hopes for but gave up after 4-5 puffs starting to feel bad and turning very pale. The 555 she only puffed once and got the light headed feeling but I think she was reluctant at that point to puff any more.

Any particular flavors in the PG or even the VG that anyone notices causing reactions over other flavors?

Hi Sammy. I can't take any flavors with PG. Tried 6 Dekang PG Flavors and started coughing and feeling dizzy. Tried 50% PG and 50% VG, same effect. Tried 100% VG and solved everything. No more coughs, chest whizzing and dizziness. All the liquids I tried are 18mg.

There are actually a lot of people who have allergies to high concentrations of PG. I've never heard of anyone turning white and having to lie down, but as some people have mentioned, getting a tight or itchy throat sensation is definitely a sign. From what I've read, some people are more allergic to PG than others. In the case of the OP wife, it sounds like 100% VG is the way to go or at the least 50/50 pg/vg. Do not let her experience with this new liquid send her back to analogs. Stay strong and keep vaping!

We got the new 100% VG juice in today and good news...wife had no reactions to it! :)

We only ordered two flavors - USA Mix and Caramel Cappuccino. She is happily vaping away both flavors and has felt fine all day. The other thing we noticed is the vapor production from the VG is much better. I got her a new mega battery, a new atty and blanks in both the cartos and mega carts so there would be no trace of PG juice and she is really enjoying it.

Dormouse made the comment earlier in this thread about how VG dulls everything leading to a smoother vape. The flavors and bite/throat hit are indeed more intense with the PG juices where the VG is smoother overall. The nic level is also lower at 12mg and 6mg. The 12mg seems to be the sweet spot for her.

She is going to wait about a week with using the VG only and then try mixing in some PG in low ratios at about 10% and see if it still causes her to feel funky. Otherwise she is happy with the VG juice and is geared up to toss the analogs now!
