I had the best carto the other day. It tasted great and I refilled it twice that evening. It soaked up the juice perfectly and was the best I ever vaped. Then I put on my older bloog maxx fusion battery (2 months old) and it tasted burnt. I was disappointed. I let it sit for a day and added a few more drops. But still not the same as it was.

ps. I still haven't used that battery since. I don't trust it now. :(

Creeps me out a little to hear of the same 2 cartos being used for several weeks without cleaning. Doesn't sound sanitary. Like drinking from the same cup for a month without ever rinsing it out. Yuck!

Well this was supposed to be in the name of science after all. But I use a condom on the end all the time (soft on my teeth), so not that gross, becasue I wash that.

Also, I'm gonna have to wash these and see if they go back to performing like new. After cracking a fresh 555 today, I can't seem to go back to the other two. :(

Everyone is making it sound like these are supposed to last forever, but I had the opposite impression.. that atty's just burn out after time. And the small attys attached to each carto should be lesser quality and die quicker than say an ego-T atty.

I agree with you Popeye, they aren't supposed to last forever. But they are lasting an amazingly long time for something that is supposed to be disposable. I'm throwing some away even though they would still work just because I like the taste of fresh prefilled so I end up with lots and lots of used ones, more than I need for refilling. So I just toss some of the older ones and use the newer ones for refilling. Having 15 or so for refilling is plenty for me.

quick update...

I have NOT been using ONLY these cartos since I originally posted. Kind of gave up, thinking they would never die.

and maybe they won't...

I still have the two cartos seperate, I've refilled an uncountable amount of times, only washed 3 times since I first got them several months ago, and they still work like brand new.

What the hell Bloog? Don't you want to make money? Stop making these things so damn well! :p

No no, don't stop, make them better! :D

I've been vaping with the same 7 cartos for more than a month now, 4 of them are funny tasting but I've put them aside to try a clean them, or throw them away. I'll try a clean first, but one thing is for sure, they last more than any other carto i've tried so far and when not tasting good, it's the taste not the vapor production.

Oh and btw, I've noticed it has a lot to do with the e-liquid the question of how much they last, and strangely the one I used with 80pg/20vg malboro started to taste bad after 4 days, when other I used with 555 50/50 was fully vaping for more than 3 weeks, about 25 refills.
:thumb:

Thought they would perform better with 100 PG and no VG but in this case, the cartos like better the 50/50

Coiso.. if you're having a problem with taste, and not vapor production, you NEED to clean them. There is some residue in there from what every your vaping that needs to be cleared out.

put a pen grip on the end of a turkey baster, boil your cartos, then "power wash" them with the turkey baster. Blow excess water out, put in oven for 20 minutes or so, let sit over night, and they'll be like brand new.

Thanks popeye, I was thinking it would be residue from VG around the wick that needed to be cleaned.

For people that have expresso coffe machines a vaper told me a very good tip for making it easy to clean a carto with "boiled" water.
Those machines have the vapour knob and thing to heat the milk/water, that come with some pressure and very hot. It's not so much a common machine since in these days the capsule machines like nespresso are fashion, but some of us have them and I have one and never thought about it until the hint from that vapour.

Just take the mouthpiece off and clean it with that pressured vapour until the water comes out clean, simple as that. Tip, grab the carto with something long or you'll get burned.
Reversed taryn spin to get the water out and let it dry over night.

I'll clean these ones that produce good vape but dryburn like taste. ;)

I'm having quite different results.

My cartos last about 3 days. I use blanks and fill them using the condom method, battery end gets the juice, and I blow out the bit of juice prior to attaching it to the battery (no battery failures since I've started blowing the liquid out prior to attaching the battery).

The first day is great with lots of vapor production, good taste, and an easy draw. By the third day, vapor production has dropped dramatically and the draw is stiff.

I use an 80/20 mix PG/VG ISP grade from Capella and mostly Capella flavors usually at a 20% intensity.

When using chocolate carto degradation is faster.

I've had no luck with cleaning. I've used all the cleaning methods posted on this forum even to the point of purchasing an ultrasonic unit, giving them three treatments, letting them dry for a week, and doing the 7 second dry pull to burn off anything left on the heating element. The draw and vapor production are poor no matter what I try so I just toss them now.

I'd be happy if I could get a week of good performance, but one good day followed by two mediocre days doesn't seem adequate for the price of the cartos.

If I'm doing something wrong, I'd like to be educated.

Still, I love the Bloog better than anything I've tried to date.

6-7 times a day seems a lot. (the carto takes somewhere between 0.75ml and 1ml of juice)
Unless you are just topping off the carto.
The video you saw is probably one of the old ones, with a "standard" vertical coil carto.
You can still use de condom method with the BMF cartos, but I find it reduces their lifetime. Probably because of the flooding of the central airflow channel.

I find that the dark juices kill carts faster. If you want them to last longer, use clear juice. I prefer the dark liquids, so I just use the cart for a day or two and then soak overnight in pga and run through a couple cycles in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. This seems to revive them for another go.

Yeah, depends on the juice. Got two Bloog cartos that are still going after at least 10 fills.

I'm not going to clean them though, I'll vape them until they're unsatisfactory and fire them in the trash.
