Hey everyone, I have never smoked any cigs before, but I do the occasional hookah every now and then with friends. I saw something interesting recently, an ehookah I think its called.
Smooth Berry Strawberry E-Hookah
It has 0 nicotine, and I was wondering how safe it is compared to regular hookahing? And is there any other alternatives to this? I've been reading a bit on ecigs, and I was wondering is 0mg nicotine considered the same as this ehookah? I'm just interested in the occasional use, without the need of setting up a full hookah set.

Yes - this "e hookah" is the same as an other electronic cigarette.
but is it safer than regular hookah??

the general attitude in the e-cigarette community is that vapor is safer that smoking. HOWEVER - thats not to say vapor is "safe". We still dont know for sure if vapor is safe - but we do know its safer than smoke. Does that make sense?

I am going to assume you are an adult and that you can make up your own mind if you want to try vaping or not.

For me - I always wanted smoking to be fun and flavorful - I found a bit of that in hookah but hookah is a pain in the .... And charcoal hits are no fun. To me vaping is always what I wanted hookah and smoking to be. Its better. Its cleaner, healthier and much more flavorful.

The device in the link looks like an e-cigarette to me.

As far as real hookahs go, the hookah is safe. It's what you put into it that may not be so safe.

Because you want the device for occasional vaping I'd recommend the Volt for it's size and quality. Actually, I have a friend who quit a long-time pack a day cigarette habit with a Volt. He still uses it.

The Volt is a quality piece of gear backed by good customer support if ever needed. Order the zero nicotine flavors with the starter kit.

Thank you NancyR, I will be trying out a free disposable one. Are there any other promotions like that? And do these ecigs produce as much smoke as regular hookahs? With the volt, if I wanted to try other eliquids like say this one http://highbrowvapor.com/products/coffee-bavarian-hazelnut-cream, I just have to buy a cartomizers and fill it up?

Having never used a hookah I can't tell you, tho I will say with e-cigs there are many factors in how much vapor you get, learning proper inhaling will be a big key also.

Please keep in mind too, that ANY disposable will not work as well as higher cost units, however it is something to give you a chance to try to see if you even like vaping.

No silly! VAPOR is not smoke. :)

the cig size unit will not come close - if you want something that comes close in volume to a hookah you will need to go to at least an ego battery with a cartomizer or preferably a clearomizer (I think the clearos produce more vapor any way).

tel you what - since you are not sure if you will even like vaping try out a blu disposable. they are available at walgreens. It will give you an IDEA of what vaping is like without spending money on shipping. If you think it has potential you can always upgrade.

Ok, I got my disposable and I liked it. zuzette, what do i need with the ego battery and clearomizer for it to work? Will the Volt starter kit work with it? Or is there something better out there? Thank you

Would something like this be good?

The only issue I see is that a beginning device isn't going to give a hookah-like experience (lots of vapor exc). A variable voltage/wattage device is going to deliver that feeling but for more money (~$25 to $200). These are generally for more advanced vapers but an Ego Twist is in the middle area, it's not incredibly hard for someone to pick up on.They will run you in the $25-$30 range but you will then have to invest in some cartos/atys or a tank system. Going this route, you'd probably be looking at about $60 in total (including ~30mLs of juice)
