New 510 vaper here stopping in to say high, of course I have a few questions.

First, I think I got a generic 510, I was under the impression it was a Dura-C, however there was no label on the box or stick it self. Is there anything wrong with generic 510s?

Second, I'm not getting a lot of vapor. I can feel the hit in my throat, but the vapor looks really weak. Could this be related to the liquid I'm using? For now I have 5 carts filled with Mlb-high flavor. I'm going to swap to something else but for now I'm gonna stick with these.

Regardless, glad I found this place it's full of information and I'm willing to learn!

You need to get some juice to refill those carts! Once you find some you like, try adding a few drops of Glycerin to the juice to increase vapor production. Make sure your glycerine is USP! It can be found at almost any drug store, Wal-mart, Craft store or supermarket. (try the hand lotion isle or cake decorating.)
Low vapor and hard draw is also a sign of a low battery..maybe a dry cart.
Don't sweat it if it is a generic..you will need replacement parts soon enough. Just get good replacement parts from one of the dealers on this board. You won't have to worry about bad parts, you just read their forums to see what kind of supplier they are!:)
Welcome to ECF!
I just noticed you are from Florida! Come down and see us in the Florida Vapors Forum here at ECF. maybe you can come to a meet and see some great devices close up, and meet their owners too!

Thank you for your insight, Mary. After letting the battery charge overnight like suggested, and coupling that with a suggestion to swing it back and forth between my fingers to allow some of the juice to reach the atomizer, I'm getting much more consistent hits and much more vapor.

I did also join the Florida group, hopefully there will be a gathering close by that I can attend and get some feedback from other users.

Now, off to buy some juice!

Vapor production is also definitely juice based. Depending on what the juice is made of can make or break great vapor. VG (Vegetable Glycerin) is used as a kind of additive (it's also used as the base of juice for those who can't tolerate PG (propylene glycol)) to help produce more vapor. The 510 is a great producer of vapor, one of the best, but with not-so-great juice it won't produce what it's capable of. Hopefully you find some juice that suits your need. Do some research on juices - I can suggest a few (click my siggy) great suppliers of phenomenal juices.

After blowing out the atty pretty well, and dripping some RY4 directly on the bridge, I couldn't be any happier!

I can see why most every e-liquid retailer says that RY4 is addicting, this flavor is so good!

I'm not 100% analog free yet, but going from 1/2 to 3/4 pack a day, down to 1-2 ciggies a day, is a huge change! No more gunk in my throat every morning, my breathing is easier and my chest isn't tight anymore, I'm so glad I purchased an e-cig!

I've got 5 left in my analog pack, once those are gone, I'm off of em for good! It would be wasteful to just throw them out, they're wasteful enough as it is when I use em.

I got my order from ecigexpress in today, but I made a mistake. :(

I tried menthol first, and now the rest of the flavors taste like menthol, there must be some residue left on the atty from it.

if you hold your atty with a pair of tongs over a tea kettle's spout at it whistles and steams for a few seconds and then blow it out there will be absolutely no flavor leftover from the previous drips.

this works great and makes your juice taste amazing!!

Tea Kettle? They still make those? I kid I kid, unfortunately I don't have one of those, but a good idea none the less.
