Hi there! I've been a long time smoker. Went to a shop yesterday but not sure I got what's best for me starting out? bought an istick 20w with an Aspire clearomizer. My concern is is this going to be an easy portable solution that I can throw in my bag and go or should I use a more cig style for on the fly? My cartomizer leaked all over yesterday which made me panick even more, not sure this is best for work, travel and convenience?

The iStick 20watt is a great battery for on the go. Be careful when taking off/putting on the tank as the 510 threads are chrome plated and can be stripped if you are not careful.

If you didn't get the Aspire mini Nautilus (2 mls) or full size Nautilus (5 msl) I would highly recommend you look at this clearomizer. If has adjustable airflow and mine never leak. I usually have the airflow set to wide open and I use 50/50 juice.

If you are looking at this clearomizer make sure you purchase the BVC's (bottom vertical coils) for Nautilus (not the BDC's). The BDC's will work but the BVC's perform much better.

One thing you may want to consider and I found this out the hard way these things don't take flight well they will leak all there contents out of the tank. Where these tanks work off vacuum the pressure changes of flight cause them to lose vacuum and leak so drain your tank before flying. My trip to Phoenix last year schooled me in this. Good luck.

Great advice by Susan (one of our resident experts on the matter! :))

I started on a Nautilus and it performed flawlessly. Easy to set up and use and never leaked in my pocket or briefcase. The nautilus made it possible for me to quit smoking cold turkey, from1 1/2 packs a day for 20+ years. Used it for a few months before upgrading to the Lemo.

Good advice. If you decide to get a back-up (highly recommended if you take to vaping), I would suggest the iStick 30w because it has stainless steel threading and a spring loaded connector. Then make the 20w your backup.

I'd advise getting a 50W iStick for $15 dollars more than the 30W. the 50W has a 4400 mah battery that is really long lasting. After I bought my first one I bought a 2nd for a backup I liked it so well.

50W with Nautilus Mini & 510 to ego adapter ($5) for use with ego threaded tanks.

Another thing you might want to consider is getting the Bending Adapter for the iStick. It not only makes it a bit more portable by allowing you to sort of "fold" the unit up, but it solves two of the common issues with the 20W iStick. Because you only put it on once and leave it there, you are not constantly working the threads on the battery when you remove your tank. The bending adaptor also has a spring loaded pin which was another knock on the 20W iStick. Google images has some great photos of it and it's inexpensive!

Good luck
