I will go through withdrawals which may or may not include zits, mouth sores, and quitter’s throat. Will hack up all the bad junk for a week or 2.

Those are just possible symptoms! I suffered NONE of the above. The only effect I encountered was a permanent huge s__t eatin' grin... toothy.gif

On the plus side I’ll have more energy, will breathe and smell better, my color will return to normal, and I’ll just plain feel better in general.

LOL :D awesome!

I didn't have the zits or sores when I tried to quit smoking in the past so maybe I'll be all good there. I couldnt concentrate on anything though and just sat on the couch in a vegged out state just trying to keep myself from going to the store to buy cigs. I did cough up junk and that I don't mind at all!

Good luck on quitting! I bought my first PV April 30th, smoked my last cig 5/1 and haven't looked back (after 35 years of 1+ packs p/day). The eGo was a good choice as far as I'm concerned. I started with a KR808D setup (from V2). I don't regret buying it made me realize that I really like vaping, although in retrospect it was way too expensive. After about a month of continually charging batteries (3-4 per day) I bought an eGo and don't plan on changing. Everyone I know that started with other types eventually switch to an eGo (or equivalent). You'll probably end up experimenting with different cartomizers and liquids but you're started down a good path.

Sounds like you have it down pretty good. I figure by now uve got your eGo so I hope your enjoying it!
As far as the symptoms, I didnt experience any of those things, I think youll be okay. If your really craving a cig when you first start, up your nic level. Normally 24mg does the trick for most people, but some vendors do offer up to 36mg juices if you feel its necessary. A higher nic juice will also help with those potential symptoms if you feel any.
Goodluck with everything and I hope I gave you some good info to help you out and get you started. If you have any other questions or are wondering about something feel free to send me a message or somethin, Id be glad to help!

I forgot to add something.

Make sure you save any juices that you try and dont like in the beginning. Cigarettes do funny things to your taste buds. Once you stop it will take about a week to a week and a half for them to come back to normal. Juices that you dont like in the beginning just set aside for awhile. They will steep some which normally makes them alittle better, and your taste buds will change and you might end up really liking a few of them later on.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and to vaping. I have been wanting to switch to an eCig for some time but have been financially unable til now. I convinced my dad into financing a kit and with him being an ex-smoker and wanting me to quit, he agreed on the condition that if I went back to cancer sticks, I have to pay him back.
I'm also beyond excited right now not only because I can finally be free of those disgusting cigarettes, but that I found this site! 8 hours ago I had a shopping cart ready to check out at GreenSmoke and while I was waiting to pay, I did a search on the changes people experienced switching to vaping. I clicked on the second link which brought me here and I am SO glad I did that before checking out. There is a lot of info here so I was seriously overwhelmed at first but I knew I needed to reconsider my GreenSmoke decision.
I'm happy to report that I just purchased the Joye eGo Kit. I opted for the one with the 650mAh battery as I do not ever want to be in a position that I have to buy cigarettes again. I also purchased four 10ml e-Liquids and 2 packs of cartridges. So around this time tomorrow, I'll finally be vaping!

Since I'm complete noob, I'm hoping someone will chime in and let me know if I bought enough e-Liquid for a good start. I currently smoke about 10-12 cigs a day but only 1/2 at a time. Thanks in advance!

Hello!
I just joined this forum today. :D
I have been using an eCig for about 5 weeks. I paid too much and I wish that I had known there were so many choices.
The eGo is a great choice!

I found a 510 that is a little longer than most, has a 280 (85mm) mAh with a manual switch (button) that I really like. No "pre-puffing" to warm it up, just push on the button for a second before puffing and she's warmed up and ready to vape! :vapor: I like an eCig that is more of the size & shape of a tobacco cig. because I have been smoking for many years and because they are more comfortable (in my experience). Everyone has their own comfort zone.

I also bought a PASS THROUGH BATTERY(again with a manual button). They run off of a battery that is constantly being charged through a USB port. I spend a lot of time on the computer, so it's great for me and I save the battery of my other one for when I go away from the computer (TV, going out or work). You need an external power source to use a pass through, so you do not fry your mother-board on your computer, and do not use it on a laptop. I got a BELKIN mobile USB Hub at Staples, it has an AC adapter and you can use something like that, or an AC plug adapter for USB will also work (5V). (Shop around a bit and you will find these at some websites that sell eCigs.)
I had 2 packs of cigarettes left from a carton when I got my eCig, and I smoked those over the next 3 days while using my eCig (mostly because they were around) and that was the last time I bought or smoked tobacco! Those last cigarettes were tasting worse & worse as those 3 days passed, and I have not missed tobacco at all!
I also found that I like the cartomizers better than the cartridges. They hold more e-juice, and are refillable.
Check out You-Tube for lots of information on eCigs .
You certainly bought plenty of e-juice! I recommend buying smaller (5ml to 7.5ml) bottles until you find the one you really like, there are so many choices there too; so, buy smaller bottles to try.
I really love the flavors. My favorites are: Caramel macchiato; Caramel apple: Banana cream; Mango; Peach; Vanilla; Vanilla coke;and light tobacco. Any of the flavors can be added to your regular tobacco flavor to give a little yum to it.
Hope this helps. You'll do great (and you won't have to pay Dad back). Good Luck!

Thanks so much mg7454! And welcome, this place is awesome!
Congrats on your 5 weeks. :toast:

Thank You NikonGirl!

Congratulations on your choice to start vaping!

If you find that the nicotine mg# is a bit too high for you, then you can add some VG/PG to lower the milligrams.
Actually, you can buy a higher mg # and double flavor, then make it go farther for your $ by mixing it with some
USP grade VG & PG (inexpensive from a pharmacy). That's what I do now.
You'll learn all sorts of useful vapors tips very soon.

Again,
Congratulations to you as well!
