Wow thanks dude!!! Now im stuck between that and the inferno tank! lol Opinions?

The "inferno tank" is an Ego-T that you can find just about anywhere. Once again, this is a case of Volcano having stuff made with their own color scheme and logo. They give it another name and charge a lot more for it.

The Lavatube is definitely a better PV than an eGo-T. Ego-T's are a pain in the ..... This board is full of complaints about them leaking, muted taste, burnt plastic taste, etc. Also, they take special cones and atomizers that you will either pay a high price for or, if you are like most people, will just abandon and end up using standard tanks and cartomizers anyway.

Do yourself a BIG FAVOR. Go to Crystal Clear. Get their Lavatube. Get one of their tanks and a box or three of standard resistance Boge cartomizers. They have a good deal on them and you can get 3 boxes for $19.00.

Then, go somewhere else and get some juice. You will have everything you need for a while, until you need to replace the cartomizer in your tank. You can get extra punched cartomizers at CCV, or you can punch holes in your own. Just make sure you get the XL length because the standard length cartomizers are too short for the DCT.

I don't know about that tank. What's so special about it? It looks like a standard DCT Tank, which you can find anywhere, with Volcano's logo on it.. If you want a tank, you get the 6ml DCT tanks from MadVapes for like 12 bucks.

You are exactly right. Everything on that site is a prettyfied version of the same stuff you can get anywhere for a lot less money.

Awesome! Love what you said! Im going to get the ccv lava tube. Why do I need cartomizers?Do I need them for the tank? And which ones off the site do you recommend? I will probably buy the wrong ones. Im looking at the 510 xl for like 7 bucks right now. And where do you recommend getting juices?

Cartomizers are what holds the juice and the heating element that vaporizes the juice. To use a cartomizer, you fill it until it can't absorb any more juice. Then, as you're vaping, every 10-20 minutes or so, you drip a few drops into the top of it, through a "drip tip". That way, it never gets too dry. If your cartomizer dries out, the filler material that holds the juice will burn or scorch and taste nasty. This will ruin the cartomizer.

With a tank, there is a hole in the cartomizer. You fill the cartomizer as usual, then you put it in the tank, through the bottom hole. Before it goes all the way through the top hole of the tank, you fill the tank 3/4 of so full of juice. Then you stick the cartomizer up through the top hole of the tank. You stick a drip tip in the cartomizer and screw it onto your Lavatube. As you vape, the juice in the tank will seep into the hole in the cartomizer, keeping it wet. This can be tricky because sometimes the hole is too small and won't let enough juice into the cartomizer fast enough. That usually happens with thicker, high VG juice. The cure is to punch a second hole, or enlarge the existing hole to increase the flow into the cartomizer from the tank.

XL cartomizers are longer than standard ones. They hold more juice. They will fit all the way through the tank, but unless tehy already have holes in them, you'll need to punch your own holes.

My advice would be to get a pack or two of standard length, (Crystal Clear Vaping) or XL length (Crystal Clear Vaping) 3ohm cartomizers to use outside of the tank. Just use these all by themselves without the tank. A pack consists of 5 cartomizers. They are disposable, but refillable. You will want a different one for each flavor. In other words, don't mix flavors in the same cartomizer.

For the tank, get a pack of pre-punched XL length cartomizers. You can get 1.7ohm Dual Coil cartomizers like the one that comes with your tank. Or, you can just get standard resistance 3ohm single coils if they have them in XL length and already pre-punched. You really don't need low resistance cartomizers with a variable voltage PV like the Lavatube.

The page with all the cartomizers is here: Crystal Clear Vaping

Whether you get XL or regular length is optional except for the tank where you need the XLs. You really don't need 1.7 or 1.5ohm cartos because you can always just increase your voltage. If you have to get 1.5 or 1.7 because those are the only ones avialable pre-punched for a tank, that's o.k. You can use them. Choose 1.7ohms in that case.

Here's the pack of replacement cartos you want for your tank:
Crystal Clear Vaping

Here's the cartos you want to use without the tank:
Crystal Clear Vaping

Here's a longer XL version of the cartos you want for outside of the tank. If you want to try punching your own holes, you can use these in the tank as well.

Wow, perfect. Well I bought the lava tube and some juice. Im going to try it out for a bit then get the tank. Thanks for all of your help. I will refer back to this if and when I decide to get the tank.

Cool. Did you see the thing about the first 100 orders gets a free Jumbo Resurrector? That's a $10 carto. Hope you get one. Did you get any cartos with the lavatube? You're not going to want to just drip into the atomizers they include in the kit.

So I should probably buy the one in the first link if I plan on buying a tank?

If you already have a tank, get the one in the first link. They have holes in them that you need for a tank. Don't use these unless you're using them in a tank.

If you don't have a tank, you need the ones in the second or third link. They don't have holes in them. You use them all by themselves. If you're not getting a tank now, I would suggest getting at least 2 boxes of cartos. Mix or match the ones in the second or third link. That will give you 10 cartomizers and will hold you for a few weeks or more while you experiment with your juices. Remember, you don't want to mix juice flavors in a cartomozer. Once you fill a cartomizer, it's committed to that flavor. That's why you try it with the atomizer first.

Yes, cartomizers hold a LOT more than an atomizer. If all you have is an atomizer, you have to drip a few drops into the top, vape a few puffs, and then drip a few more drops, puff, drip, puff, drip..... Juice tastes the purest that way, and that's the way you test juice to see if you want to fill up a whole carto with it. It's called "dripping" and some people only vape by dripping. But it's not really something you want to start out doing. Plus, there are special atomizers for dripping if that's what you want to get into. Use the atomizers in your kit for testing juice. Do your real vaping with cartomizers and/or a tank.

Thank you sailorman for all of your help! Now all I can do is wait for everything to arrive. I guess my next question is how to manage my power output in relation to my carts. I gotta watch that youtube video that was posted!

If you stick to stadard resistance cartos, 3.0 to 3.5ohms, you won't have to worry about it. You'll have the whole range of available voltages. The only thing you need to worry about is if you use low resistance, 1.5-2ohm cartos. You could possibly burn one out if you use too high a voltage. But you'll probably notice it tastes too hot and harsh before that happens. Just turn down the voltage. The machine won't let you go much over 4.5V with a 1.5ohm carto, so it won't pop immediately. There's no reason to use that low of a resistance anyway.

Here's the easy way. Multiply the ohms of your carto by 7. Take the square root of the result and use that as your starting voltage. Round down to the nearest 0.1 volt. Adjust by taste up and down from there. MOst people like 6 to 10 watts. When you use that method, you're starting at 7 watts. No matter what carto you use, you won't hurt anything by starting at 7 watts.
