I've only been at this about a week, but doing well so far. I started with the Blu starter kit from Walgreens, just to see what this was all about. It worked good enough to let me know that I can do this and quit smoking cigarettes. The short battery life was inconvenient, but I'm retired and at home, so I could charge the Blu's easily.
After a couple of days, I went to a local vape shop and got an ego kit with a couple of batteries, and a couple of tanks. They threw in several bottles of e juice for free, which was nice of them. Everyone there, workers and customers, were the age of my grandchildren, but they were all very patient with me and answered all my dumb questions.
I'm very pleased so far with the whole experience, and haven't smoked a real cigarette since I started this last week. I'm a 40-year, pack-plus a day smoker, so that seems like a real accomplishment to me. My friends and family are super supportive of this new adventure.
I ordered some refillable blank cartridges for the Blu, so I can use it when I plan to be out and about in public. I live in Oklahoma City, in a very conservative, fundamental state. Many folks here don't like it when anyone does anything that looks like it might be fun, like dancing or smoking "funny stuff"!
PS if anyone is interested, my purple cat avatar is a picture drawn by my 6-year old granddaughter. It is to "Bugga" which is my grandma name, and I use it lots of places online.
