Been totally off analogs for a few days using a Metro ecig. Looking to upgrade. Been checking out the eGo with a tank instead of cartos. I am a truck driver so I was thinking of getting a pass thru battery as I could keep it plugged in all day at work and use it "unplugged" at home. I live about 10 miles from a "Smoke Revolt" store and was going to look there, but don't want to go in looking like a dumb rookie. Any suggestions?

The good thing is you have local shops to actually try things out before you buy! Their passthrough kits may be a good option, and they also sell a charger for separate batteries that comes with a car plug too. If you are comfortable with the size, you might want to get one of their inexpensive, $20-30 18650 battery mods as they will last you all day. There's a Revolver shop and vape lounge in Monroe that's got a friendly staff and you can try all their juices too!

think you're on the right tract. sounds like you want the ego twist. you can vary the voltage which means you can adjust the vapor and flavor production. look for a 6ml dual coil tank. 6ml of liquid will last you all day while driving. the tank holds a cart which you said you dont want but....carts are very reliable and you'll need that as a trucker. everything else can be a little finicky. at the top of this page is a box called "forum suppliers". click that and you'll see the banners for vendors. get some prices on the ego twist before you go to smoke revolt. they may be over priced so go in with some knowledge. most online vendors are quick in shipping vape gear if smoke revolt doesnt have what you're looking for. good luck

You can go a couple of ways using a cartotank, which has pretty carefree use once its set up, and can hold a decent amount of juice (3.5ml) that should last you most of a day easy.

Most vendors sell a variety of the above DCT tanks. The larger size hold 6 ml of juice, the slimmer size holds 3.5ml. Both will use a 45mm length carto, and you can put either a single coil or dual coil in them. You'll also need a drip tip for a mouthpiece. My Vapor Store sells these in a kit for $21.50 which will include the tank, a drip tip, and 5 cartos that are prepunched for a tank.

The slimmer 3.5ml tank looks better on an eGo type battery. An eGo cone cover (pictured below) will hide the connection gap between the battery and tank, and also add more sturdynest for the setup. Pre-punched cartos are available so that you don't need to punch your own. Otherwise you will need to pick up a carto punch tool for unpunched stainless cartos.

Above images show DCT tanks on various sizes of eGo batteries, on a eGo Twist, and the eGo cone cover.

If you are going to get a passthru, I don't believe the Twist comes that way, you would need the other battery. The 3.5 mil tanks look good on them, by all means use a collar to cover the connection and it makes it more stable. You should also get a tank tool for carto insertion and to use to seal the carto to push it down some to refill your tank. They are inexpensive and save the o rings in the tank. I started out on Egos and loved the small carto tanks on them. No muss, no fuss.

Congratulations! Now you get to add stuff whenever you like, because you can never have too many backups. At least that's my excuse!

If those are the XL dual coils, they need about 45-50 drops to be full, and it takes a while to absorb that liquid. It's always a good idea to fill it and then let it sit for a few minutes, check it to see if the top looks fully moist, top it off, then vape it. If you overfill a bit you can just blow the excess out. Even if it's a carto you are going to put in a tank, fill it and make sure it's nice and wet before you start vaping it.

If it tastes burnt you may not be able to completely remove that taste as the filler can get scorched. It's happened to all of us starting out. It can't hurt to top it off a little and see if it's better after an overnight soaking in. Good luck!
